They realised the game was shit so they cancelled it.

how come they had all this shit planned like TV-shows and toys while they hadn't even started selling their game?

Got lost up Inafune's btthole.

whatever happened to red ash

See:

Inafune seriously overestimated that a new IP (especially 2D platformer) aimed at kids in the early to mid 2010's warranted so many additional pieces of media besides the main game without it having to prove it's worth first
It took the failures of this, Kaio, and Red Ash for him to understand that

Because they got millions of kickstarter dollars

a scam just like the mega man legend rip off they announced as well

It makes more sense if you think he's transferre the entire Mega man franchise to his new IP, so in his mind it was an old proven IP.

>It took the failures of this, Kaio, and Red Ash for him to understand that

I assure you he'd try again if given the chance. L5 isn't interested in doing that for Inafune's properties.

Inafume being his usual dumb self.

Though he may have stumbled, he still had a long track record. He literally built Capcom with his IPs .

no he didn't.

>Mega man
>Dead Rising
>Onimusha
>Battle Network
>etc

>"I'm often called the father of Mega Man, but actually, his design was already created when I joined Capcom," he explained. "My mentor [Capcom senior member Akira Kitamura], who was the designer of the original Mega Man, had a basic concept of what Mega Man was supposed to look like. So I only did half of the job in creating him."

>His IPs
What IPs? MegaMan wasn't his and many early successful Capcom games were Disney licensed games. Onimusha was great but that's way too late to consider it as Capcom early years

Yeah he definitely created megaman

No idea why Level 5 bought comcept after all of inafune's failures, let's see if Level 5 turned them around.
>In 2017, Comcept was acquired by Level-5 and became Level-5 Comcept. The Tokyo location was closed, leaving the Osaka location as the sole base of operations.[32][33][2] Their first game under Level-5 was the mobile game Dragon & Colonies, launched in June 2019. The game was shut down on February 17, 2020.[34]
Oh..

Remidner that we have no idea what they've been doing since then. They've not announced another game. Was this their last chance game and maybe Comcept got broken up internally in L5?

If you didn't think Kamiya's respect for Inafune as a businessman was well-founded, you should now.

>megaman listed twice
>onimusha hasnt been relevant in over a decade
>etc

>anime fan on prom night

I found out recently that Inafune was the promotion manager of Resident Evil 2 so I guess he and Kamiya do have some form of history together

Inafune was Kamiya's boss for years. Inafune was one of the people who voted to kill Clover studios for instance. Not the only vote of course, the whole board voted on it.

he is based

good

I wasn't based before

He is really dumb and has no talent besides drawing robots. Look at his Mario maker level on YouTube. It's random garbage that any sane person would skip.

Inafune doesn't play games, and knows nothing about game design. Like literally nothing. He's a businessman.

I wanted it to succeed, but some instinct was telling me not to.

I've backed the dragon's lair movie in kickstarter, "There She is" on idiegogo, and the spiritual successor to Eternal Darkness.

>imfuckingplying

You don't need to know shit to make a decent Mario level. I drew better Mario levels than this when I was like 5 years old.
