The game isn't THAT bad.
The game isn't THAT bad
now, maybe. its launch was such a trainwreck it burned the game for good
Have fun with your microtransaction filled mess
Oh and make sure to sub to Todd's subscription service!
Yeah, I followed it's launch and the various fuckery they pulled. The bag, rum bottle, dev room and the initial lack of NPCs. I get dropping something after shit like that.
I like that if you start now the Mr Handy's treat it as if your character has been a shameless NEET long after everyone else left the Vault.
What did they originally say?
Other than the glaring technical issues at launch, I think the majority of the hate this got was simply uninformed consumers. When I saw the announcement the first thing I though was "Oh neat, a PVE Rust in the Fallout universe". That was the product I got and was happy with. It seems like a third of the players saw "multiplayer" and instantly assumed it meant CoD: Fallout. Another third though it was going to be an MMO with quests and NPCs. And the rest thought it was Fallout 5, like just another single player Fallout game that would play like the rest of the series.
i tried it out a week ago and it still has bad connection problems. things dont register when you click on them, its all got a delay of like 5 seconds
>was simply uninformed consumers
Great job, user. You're well on your way to becoming a community manager doing damage control for some corporation or other. The call will come any day now!

I mean, it sorta is in my opinion. Kept trying to replay 4 on survival, but already knowing all the quest lines just killed it for me. This is scratching that itch perfectly. Sure, there's other people you can interact with but so far I've been playing solo and enjoying the new environment. That and I'm thankful for the return of stat based dialogue choices.
