Do you think we'll ever get a good vidya in Conan's setting?
Do you think we'll ever get a good vidya in Conan's setting?
conan is shit
Faggot.
CDProjekt should have done Conan instead of Cyberpunk.
Conan Exiles is actually great and does a good job of capturing the aesthetics of it. The only flaw is the movement update back in the day significantly hurt how combat works.
im the octopus at the top of pseudo afro-europe.
>Conan game with a mix of Mount and Blade + Dragon's Dogma gameplay
Would you play it?
Paradox well, Cabinet Entertainment-- formerly Paradox Entertainment owns the Conan vidya license and keeps it locked up tight.
I'd play the shit out of it bro.
My dream Conan game would be a kind of Mount & Blade game mixed with Kenshi that would let you explore a TITANIC map depicting the entire world of Conan.
If ony that game were more of an rpg than a builder sim and shitty pvp game
Ok, I'm the whale in the eastern sea then.
>my dream conan game is an empty sandbox
epic
I miss age of conan when it launched
was a buggy and unbalanced mess however it was a fun mmo with friends
I'd even take indie stuff like Battle Brothers but set in the world of Conan and you play a solo adventurer instead of a band of mercenaries.
Neat. Going from rags to riches as a mercenary-turned-conquerors would be peak Conan. As would be being a hardened warrior going around exploring ruins and killing freakish things. Add trusty companions following you for money and testoterone-filled friendship. I want it so much.
>literally a badly drawn map of africa and asia
Why can't fantasy "creators" ever draw something orignal?
Conan takes place on Earth ya dingus.
Then why does it only sort of look like Earth? They've been north of Siberia but can't get the proportion of the Caspian Sea remotely right?
It takes place on Earth in a mythical ancient age where continents were still a big Pangea. Moron.
Pangaea didn't look anything like this.
Also, humans wouldn't have been alive at that time.
i cannot wait for the serious replies this shit is gonna get
It takes place in a fictional time period called the Hyborean Age where massive tectonic shifts have reshaped the landscape and sunk Atlantis.
>Paradox owns the Conan vidya license and keeps it locked up tight.
If that's true, why does Funcom churn out a new Conan game every year?
>watch trailers for Conan Exiles
>looks cool
>read reviews
>"Its MORE than just a sandbox!"
>buy game
>spend an hour clicking on trees and bushes
>uninstall
FUCK "open world survival craft"
>every year
They made a shitty mmo and then made a shitty survival craft empty sandbox.
In a span of 12 years they've made 2 games and some dlc.
>Age of Conan: 2008
>Conan Exiles: 2018
Do you need medical assistance
top left: soul
bottom: soulless
>quitting during the only boring part of the game
Can't blame you, but you are missing out. Capturing slaves, building and filling out a palace, taking down the various bosses, and finally unlocking your bracelet are all an enjoyable experience.
You're both forgetting they released Conan Unconquered which came out last year. Also, I thought Isle of Siptah was a new game. Turns out it's a CE expansion. Still
>2018: Conan Exiles
>2019: Conan Unconquered
>2020: Conan Exiles: Isle of Siptah
Clockwork.
Its probably a pretty decent game I just don't like "build stuff" games because I build stuff all day every day in real life.
I should've known it wasn't for me but the dungeons and stuff looked really cool.
Two games in three years isn't "churning", especially when one of them is only published and not developed.
That's great, but it's still not Paradox and still not locked up tight.
This map is literally conjoined africa/india/east asia. It even has Japan in it wtf
