So, this is actually just a movie, right?

I’m two hours in and 1:45 of that had been spent watching cut scenes. When does the actual game start in this game?

Chapter 3

MGS4 and MGSV were the same
the game is just frontloaded

You’re about to be in the actual game. The cutscenes are massively frontloaded. Their frequency drops off a cliff once things get going with the game and you will maybe get a 5-10 minute cutscene every few hours.

i'm in chapter 8, can someone non spoiling tell me how much i have left?

loving it, only thing i'd add to the game is more music..

Initially there's a lot of cutscenes, yeah, but once you get into the game, you're in the game. Honestly death stranding is like the anti-movie game, it gives you full total control for 90% of the game, the only time you see cutscenes is during important story moments

I didn't finish it yet (will play again when the PS5 is out), but I heard that the ending cutscene is 2 hours long.

Jfc I swear to god there’s an entire feature length movie you have to sit through before they let you get started in this game. I get that it’s important for understanding what’s going on, and I “like” the story and the ambiance, but I was hoping to play a video game some time today

I went 30 hours without any story cutscenes

you faggots are so obvious when you make shit up

Tell me why Metal Gear Solid 4 is exclusive to the PS3? Why didn't Konami remaster it for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC? I really don't want to start using PS Now just to play it (I have fiber optic internet, and I sure as hell still don't trust streaming games, but that might change ONLY if Sony would include it with PS+).

Hell, why didn't Konami ever touch Metal Gear Solid 1 again, with its only remake being on the Gamecube?

I would say the last 5 chapters go by quickly, the game having 15 total.

Is this your firsrst kojima game?

You'll have 2 hours up front, approx 3 hours on the back, and a few 5-20 minute cutscenes in between. The rest is all gameplay, and my first run was about 60 hours. My second run where I 5-starred everything and got all achievements was 160 hours.

It isn't like a single long cutscene but long cutscene -> delivery -> long cutscene -> delivery -> final cutscene

Ha. I know he loves cut scenes, but this is really over the top

>DOOMS
>its not an acronym everyone just yells it

don't beat the game at night if you want to go to bed.

>tfw got to edge knot city and stayed up till 3 AM on Higgs wild ride

Does the game end or can I still delivet?

>but I heard that the ending cutscene is 2 hours long.

So after the last boss battle / delivery (the one near Capital Knot City where you fight a whale) and you kick off the ending sequence, from that point to the end is just over 2 hours. It's not all cutscene, because you'll have to interact with parts of it. But you can't save and there isn't a whole lot in the game that allows you to speed up the sequence. There are also no deliveries during that time.

Yes. After the game ends you're returned to one of the knot cities and can explore and deliver freely. Anything you missed can be collected / earned after the end of the game as well, so you don't have to worry about missing things.

How. I 100%'d it on 120 and a single playthrough. And I don't mean "how did you manage to take so long", rather how did you endure. Even if I loved the game, it was a total slog towards the end as the sense of discovery is long gone and everything is just farm.

The game could benefit massively from a few preppers you have to stumble upon yourself

>Why didn't Konami

you just said it, Konami

It literally has that, there are many optional preppers that I never found on first playthrough.

that literally happens, would have never known about first prepper if I didn't look up what I was missing to fill the region in.

I think what she means is that when you figure out that one subzone = one delivery terminal, it's just a matter of going to check. Some are a bit tucked away but since you know they'll be there it's really not possible to miss them. Admittedly I did miss the musician because I didn't realise this until the 'real' map and never thought to go back.

Damn, time to replay the game.

>it was a total slog towards the end

Oh absolutely. The truth is I loved the first half or 2/3rds of the game, rolling around the eastern region and the west half of central region was really enjoyable for me. So I spent a lot of time just roaming around and exploring, which is how I sunk most of my time into the game.

But once I got to the mountain section it started becoming more of a chore. The zip lines help but you can't explore that freely and it's not really enjoyable scenery anyway.

But yeah to answer your question I endured because most of the game was really fun for me, but towards the end it was a slog like you said.

tripfag user that gave advice three or four days ago are you here? you get access to premium deliviries when you discover south lake knot city i already did 70 of them on very hard (lololo)

Woah, mgs4 has gameplay?

>be sam
>deliverin
>no rainfall
>no mules
>just beauty
>about to turn on some music
>HEY SAM THAT TAR ON THE OTHETSIDE OF THE MAP? KNOW HOW TO GET PASSED IT YET? CHECK YOUR FUCKING MAIL.

yeah, about 4.5 out of 12 hours
