I want them to release it in 3 parts to realise the original vision of having 3 segments: Laguna, Seifer, and Squall. I also want them to either fix the janky story or canonise "Squall is dead" (Kitase said he loved that theory)

I hope they do not change the combat system around too much. But I would LOVE experiencing that beloved game of my childhood with high quality full 3D backgrounds. Add some more optional exploration content and I got all I ever wanted.

It doesn't need a remake. I would only buy it (after how shitty FF7 remake is) if they keep it 1:1 except for the visuals which they could modernize without alternating the original art direction.

Thanks. I've always thought that most bad games had only a few poor choices that spoiled the entire pot. Years of retrospect and analysis give the perfect foundation to see where developers went wrong and which things need to be fixed. Remaking an already amazing game just upsets people who expected it to be approached in a different way.

I'm playing the VIII remaster right now. I don't know if they changed the AI or something, but Triple Triad is comically easy now. The AI always responds to plays in the same way and I have a 100% winrate across like 50 games

Plot ghost. Multiple timelines where Laguna lives. Which is kinda ironic since VIII really does have a time travelling element in it. Fits way better in this than VII.

Never played VIII, only knew bits of the story. But it did have some sort of a time travel thing right? Wasn't Ultimecia a time travelling witch or something? Why did Squall and Rinoa went to space though?
