Why the fuck does it still cost exactly the same as its launch?
Alexander Harris
Oliver Mitchell
demand has only gone up since launch
be thankful price hasnt risen to match the demand
Juan Rivera
nintendo are the kings of "false scarcity". very rarely do games or consoles go on sale, so when they do go on sale for like $10 off it's a huge fuckin deal and everyone hypes around them.
Wyatt Green
Because they've struggled to keep up with demand so far this year. Lowering the price of something that there's already excess demand for is like the dumbest business decision you can possibly make.
Oliver Scott
It's not the same from launch, they upgraded it.
Noah Anderson
He's right I've never heard of a conso
Henry Johnson
Because the wiiU was a disaster
Logan Reed
Because unlike sony and microsoft, people are still willing to pay full price for their games and consoles.
Hunter Moore
Tick tock, eric.
Benjamin White
And it still has no console defining games.
Adrian Stewart
That’s seasonal "upgrades" several consoles in their lifetime have, the PSP has several revisions in its lifetime that actually added some little upgrades to battery life, screen quality and clock speed, the price just kept dipping. Same thing with the Xbox 360, the thing went through heavy hardware revisions over the RROD base model, the price only dipped.
Alexander Thompson
I have:
>lightly used Nintendo Switch console
>extra set of colored waggle controllers
>2 pro controllers
>5-6 Switch games
How much could I reasonably sell this for? Some of the games are still in their wrappers (I don't play much video games).
Brody Ward
Just gift it to someone you love, christmas is right around the corner.
Austin Morris
supply and demand. Nintendo has no reason to lower their prices if people continue to buy them at full price. Not like people can't find the console cheaper either if they search around.
Jackson Turner
The PSP price didn't dip until well into the 2000s lifespan, the fuck are you talking about?
Lincoln Stewart
You poor, bitch boy?
You cant afford 300 measly dollars?
Homeless people make more money in a day panhandling off of busy streets.
Elijah Brown
It came out cheaper than the competition by at least 100 dollars
Nathaniel Phillips
It is literally the only console worth owning, Nintendo made a very keen move (by complete mistake) by choosing to exit the lane of Sony and MS. In the end it's the only game system that is actually fun to play. It's the only console that understands what is uniquely good about the console experience.
Really a shock to me, because I was never a Nintendo kid. I had a GBC and a GBA, but never had a GameCube, a DS, or a Wii. Nintendo gets it. They'll be all that's left when Sony and MS are just game streaming services in ten years.
Gabriel Miller
>not emulating and getting free games with better visuals and performance
and don't pretend as if you go outside either
Luke Morales
>got him
Ryan Campbell
PC losers literally cannot help themselves can they lol
Jayden Green
Correct
Evan Gomez
The switch is NOT for poorfags. It was made for renowned and selfmade business men.
Liam Taylor
nope. seethe and go play your locked down console that'll be a brick every few years
Samuel Gutierrez
Nintendogs are brainwashed and beaten into submission.
Jordan Edwards
I have a mid-tier PC I just think it's a terrible way to play games. I'm an adult now though so I don't really have endless time to fuck around with all of the gay shit that comes with PC gaming.
Jayden White
He loves no one.
How much?
James Hill
This but unironically
>Buy switch for $299, game for $60
>Immediately have to buy a memory card for $40
>Realize the dock is shit and spend an extra $10 on a screen protector
>Get tired of joycons so spend $70 on a pro controller
>Going on a trip so you spend another $20 for a decent case
>Joy con starts drifting, $40
>All so you can play a Wii u remaster for full price plus $10 tip for new funky mode
Seriously what the fuck.
Adrian Powell
yeah games are a hobby so you spend money on it. also, real talk, Nintendo repairs busted joycons for free. it was a pain in the ass to have to fucking mail them out and then wait but the upside is that they don't drift anymore.
it is very un-nintendo-like that it happened at all in the first place.
Jason Brown
This. I have owned Sony and Microsoft consoles before Gen 8 but their offerings just do not justify investing into a glorified gaming PC that I already have.
Especially Sony is what I'm baffled about. They were backed by a lot third parties throughout the generation and had even the nichiest games on their systems but now it's all gone, atleast the ones I'm interested in.
Bentley Ramirez
Same as every other 8th gen console then.
Connor Foster
you mean not meeting demand to keep prices high
Dylan Watson
I somewhat agree but
>Buy a ps4 for $299
>That's it
Seriously, the switch is designed just so you have to keep buying shit, and yes repairs are free but only in america, and even if you live there, what if your joycons break at a bad time? For instance you wanted to play with some friends or possibly family visiting you during the holidays, >$40.
Xavier Morgan
I've had my PS4 break and have had two controllers have sticks that go bad, incidentally. I know that isn't necessarily the norm though.
I won't defend this kind of thing but honestly the Switch has more exclusive games that are worth playing on it than either the PS4 or Xbone does, and it's not even half as old as those systems. Unfortunately though the things that Nintendo does that are seemingly anti-consumer and things they've been doing since the NES took hold, so while it sucks, it isn't exactly surprising.
Gabriel Baker
Switch definitely has more exclusives than xbox, biu if I could pick only one it'll probably be the bone, I like my third parties too much, with that being said right now I'm rocking pc+switch, and I'm going to be enjoying collecting all the dumb weeb games for cheap once I get a ps4 on black friday.
