His power would be involve chaining survivors together, similar to the combo system from Hotline Miami. He starts with a slower walk and attack speed that gradually increases with every hit. This would also increase the size of his terror radius. Not getting any hits for a prolonged period of time would cause his attack and walking speed to gradually decrease. Possibly having an alt attack to throw his weapon but I’m not sure how the balancing would work on that.

Several times competition had potential to overthrow it and inevitably shot themselves in the foot. Last Year is probably the biggest example of this because the game is really good but the discord temp exclusivity and the lack of buzz around the steam release utterly killed it.
But honestly once you deal with the game's bullshit enough, the developers' bullshit enough, and the community's bullshit enough you get tired of the genre as a whole

There are dozens of things that play almost identically to DBD, but with less variety in Killers. Asymmetrical Horror is the new COD clone.

2500+ hours here, just recently escaped/quit. It's not worth your time, if you ever think it's fun and worth your money, it's not. It's a game of cat and mouse that feels more like Tom and Jerry with how gimped they make killers constantly feel compared to survivors. The gameplay is also very redundant and boring as shit after the first couple of hours. It visually also looks ugly as sin due to terrible 3d modellers. Just don't spend money on it.

The DBD community is the biggest example of Stockholm syndrome. The fact there are a good chunk of the fanbase who will shit on any idea for a killer that isnt the single idea they have, or god forbid you question the devs.

there's also the problem of the survivor-only playerbase being so babied and pandered to that when the devs do rarely try to actually balance the game in a way that's fair they get bitched at and eventually gets reverted back to some unfair level.
