I’m a genuine Yoshi fan too, but I never talk about Yoshi because the stigmas associated with the character thanks to freaks. Wooly World and Crafted World are both good games with excellent production values but I really wish they’d make a proper Yoshi game that didn’t need to be babyfied. Ever since they changed his design in Yoshi Story (I feel like they forgot the Yoshi Story yoshis were supposed to be “babies” and adapted that design mentality to all members of the species erroneously) they haven’t shaken this Nick Jr. aesthetic for Yoshi. I still like the characters and the games (except yni) but I wish they could make one that captures the feeling and energy of the original Yoshi’s Island again.
