poorly
Don't compare them to the original. Just play them and enjoy them for what they are.
Which sequel and in which case is the comparison taking place.

The trailers are all awesome
Deus Ex>HR=MD>IW>FALL
Better games, worse stories
this, human revolutions is a lot more enjoyable once you realize it's literally a fan game
hr was bretty gud
md is hard to judge because we only got half of it.
The only games worth playing are Deus Ex and Human Revolution, and Deus Ex still blows HR the fuck out.
Make sure to play GMDX instead of Revision. Get an actually improved game out of your modding, not a bizarre sidegrade or downgrade.
Invisible War had a chance of being good until the devs started listening to people who don't even like games like the original deus ex.
revision has some strange decisions here and there but overall it's not that bad, why is everyone shitting on it? did some jewtuber tell you what to think again?
I'd even say do GMDX second playthrough. Vanilla with kenties launcher should be everyones starting point.
It had no chance at being good. This was a time where an "open world" game being taken apart to be designed for consoles actually unironically destroyed everything about it.
No, I've played it. I can't even believe it got "official" endorsement it's so bad.
Horribly.
Invisible War is one of the worst sequels of any game series, and was the prime example why "consolization" entered the Internet lexicon when it was released. Its demo was already bad, the game itself was far worse.
It was bad enough to kill the entire series and make it go dormant for over a decade, even worse is that Harvey Smith and Warren Spector outright said, "This is a bad game, and we fucked up."

The only decent part is seeing the Denton brothers in Antarctica, but ten minutes of exposition in the final twenty minutes of the game don't even put a dent in the horrible slog that was the other 20 hours. Awful.
Human Revolution is the obvious attempt at rebooting the series, by making it into a stylish prequel. Piss filter aside, DX:HR really isn't a bad game, but it's a pretty piss-awful Deus Ex game, because once again: It was developed for consoles first and foremost, and is only a shallow attempt of what an 0451 game really is.
Mankind Divided is more of the same, but with 40 hours of filler content in hopes to milk the series out. Like Invisible War, you only see threads of the original DX by hearing dialogue from Bob Page. Once again, just like IW, ten seconds of dialogue doesn't begin to make up for the 30 hours in which nothing else happens.
IW wasn't that bad just dissapointing compared to the first one.
The Nameless Mod is a good total conversion mod for the orginal.
What surprised me is that somebody took the time to do an overhaul of the second one. It's not even nearly popular enough to warrant that but there it is.
link?
reiterate maybe? i played both gmdx and revision and had a great time in both of them, i am plainly unaware of what could possibly make you despise it
>Don't compare them
Newsflash, if you enjoy something for how good it is, you are going to compare other things of it's kind to it. And if they compare poorly, you won't fucking like them.
It's called the deus ex visible upgrade shit I don't know it's been months since I installed it.
>0451 game
System Shock clones don't deserve this meme. Looking at Prey.
Comparing anything to Deus Ex is frankly unfair, it’s an unparalleled masterpiece for a reason
>0451 game
Is this a thing now? Frankly I thought "immersive sim" was bad enough.
Go be a bitch somewhere else, redditor
Invisible war is deeply flawed but still enjoyable and keeping with the spirit of the original for the most part. I give it massive props for being one of the last mainstream games that let you make a pile of dead school girls.
Human revolution is a different animal, but still worth a play through, the push button to choose your ending is difficult to forgive however.
why did you post this?
DX > MD > HR > IW
You reminded me of this particular hyper-realist. Dead lolis, eh.
IN THE NAME OF OON!
he gives some interesting background info
>unparalleled masterpiece
Nothing of the sort would have such ass mechanics, useless skills, non-functional weapons, random-hobo-tier voice acting and blatant unpatched bugs.
random hobos >>>>>> the anime dubbers that make up the contemporary US VA industry
Including the "all endings in the original happened all at once"? Try to wrap your head around that. Denton must have had a real schizo episode.
