Or did they tarnish their legacy with Reach?
Would you want Bungie to return to making Halo?

Why do people need constant rewards to chase over and above the game itself being fun to play. If you get a trinket at the end but every stage to get there was a pain to do what was the fucking point?
Fucking lizard brained retards.
Old guard is no longer with bungie, they became 343 tier ever since they fired marty
Because the game itself isn't fun to play, because they haven't updated the gameplay in... ever.
if anything I'd rather they try their hand at a new Myth desu fampai but braindead fanboys just want devs to rehash their favorite game over and over
>want the same people who shit out destiny to handle gaylo.
are you high nigger?
So is it safe to assume the Bungie we see here is nothing like modern Bungie?
the only good bungie is pre-MS bungie when they were a small band of weirdos making games they wanted to play
First reach didn't ruin Halo second I've spent all day the last week playing all of the MCC on my phone except for four obviously and I can say without a doubt it has been the most fun I've had in the last 3 years fuck Playstation Xbox will be the way of the future
So play something else? The old definition of insanity crops up here. Why would you continue to play something that has not been updated in ...ever if its a shit experience? Do people really expect Bungie to suddenly change everything about Destiny in a couple of weeks or something?
Oh hey I left this passive aggressive feedback on your forum you better pay attention and reverse course on everything you've done in the past 4 years because I refuse to play something else even though I stopped having fun 3 years ago. This is your fault Bungie.
forgot my vid youtu.be
One of gaming's biggest redpills is that Bungie was never good
Why do these companies chase away the core dev talent and instate this ugly nepotism system? And it only took them like 5 years to do this with the entire industry
Hot take: Halo has never been good. Not ever.
sounds like someone got filtered by the minigame
Yes, Bungie and the Halo franchise both became shit in different ways, you just have to enjoy what they created and appreciate that they managed to solidify their series with five solid titles before it all succumbed to corporate mismanagement.
Can you really blame them, Crucible is pretty shit.
I'm just angry I have no one to do Trials with so I'll never get Astral Horizon.
Trials wouldn't be so bad if the game had a fucking region locks for the 3 festering pits of cheating scum. Also fuck elimination.
I want a singleplayer only immersive sim Marathon
Year 2 of Destiny 2 was genuinely good. Substantial game changing DLC with a good campaign, and a full year of equally game changing and occupying seasons.
Year 3 is a fucking joke. Recycling the exact same ideas over and over, worse than the last time usually. It all feels like it was developed by a B-team. The make decisions like they don't understand what players want when we're often very vocal. We just want new ideas. Season of the Drifter was a shitshow, but it was new, substantial, and game changing. That's far better than the soulless shit of Year 3.
Please Bungie, get it right next month or I just can't have hope for this game anymore.
Dont tell me you bought the new dlc
I don't mind Year 3, but I had completely skipped Year 2 and most of Year 1 since I only bought the release game and didn't touch it once I finished the campaign.
I thought Dawn and now Arrivals were actually quite good.
Still, I hope their decision to limit destinations, raids, and gear does actually help the game's health.
Absolutely fucking not. I'll wait for reviews, but reviews have a tendency to be difficult to interpret for D2. Most likely will just have to find a new time sink.
I guess by that logic no game studio was ever good
Ive just stopped playing multiplayer and loot games all together and only play singleplayer games and mods
I sort of liked dawn actually, even though it had a new menagerie ripoff. Having 1 raid and 2 dungeons (only 1 until the final season of year 3) just plain isn't enough for endgame players. Y2 occupied me week after week with all the great raids and new activities to do, Y3 had easily half the content and so little of it was new or even challenging.
Marathon and Myth exist tho
Same here. Just finished up Detroit and now I'm trying to finally finish Doom: Eternal while I wait for Ghostrunner tomorrow and Watch Dogs.
At least if Watch Dogs sucks I got it for free. Sigh.
i think there is a place that is solely dedicated to destiny where you can find people to play with, I think its like a forum or some shit, you should try finding that place
>did they tarnish their legacy with Reach?
No, they tarnished their legacy with Halo 2 & 3
Not gonna lie, it may have to do with pushing "diversity" quotas. More and more companies are becoming more "woke" to sell their products. Hell, right now California has a proposition on the ballot that wants 'diversity' to become a mandatory factor in its state's hiring process.
I want Bungie to get an influx of management who actually understands video games and what makes them fun so they can put their actually competent devs to good use. Everything they have done since Destiny 1 and including most of that game has felt like it was driven by people who have no clue how to design games but are still under enormous pressure to make money from them
how does it have anything to do with that? in the real world, people create something and they move on to other projects, especially if they are actually creative-- i.e., the type of people who, in this case, would make games worth playing. the mere fact that bungie was forced to crank out Halo for so long is what killed their talent pool, that and the march of years
But destinys biggest problem isn't that the content isn't fun, it's that there isn't enough of it.
aside from raids, and even then with D2 it's up and down, it's not fun once you see how shallow it is which should take the average person about 5 hours max. it's a bad video game through and through, I mean what even is the gameplay? a snorefest of e3 demo style gameplay where you walk through rooms full of enemies who just stand there and die that you could probably beat blindfolded? what a great open world, what a great campaign. pve and pvp kept tightly coupled to one another balance-wise so that basically, neither ever have any hope of being fun or interesting? sign me up for that please, followed by euthanasia
I unironically believe valve is the only developer that could make a good halo game. Their writing is ok but in a time where most writing is complete trash, they shine above the rest.
