BASED

Sure a delayed game could eventually be good, but that doesn't mean it's a guarantee.

In the age of day 1 patches and everyone having the internet this statement is no longer true.

a bad and buggy game at launch does terribly hurt a game's reputation, sometimes irreparably. some games have made decent comebacks though, like Halo MCC

It's still true. It just holds less weight.

Why announce a release date if it's not finished yet?

Is a rushed game guaranteed to be bad?

Wrong. There's a bunch of rushed games that are good.

He was asking a question dumby

So fucking what? I'm still buying Cyberpunk 2077.

not necessarily

games like no man's sky are still perceived as a horrible flop that has been doing damage control for years

No but a rushed game AND a delayed game are both less likely to be good than a game that has smooth development

Such as Dragon Age 2. Too bad the internet decided it was a bad game before it even released because "awesome button" and "1 year dev cycle is too short!!!" (despite the fact many of the Infinity Engine games had short dev cycles)

no

MCC only gets a spotlight because it's the only good way to play Halo currently even though the matchmaking is a nightmare due to the insane amount of modes and games crossing over. Controller aim assist is still a huge problem on PC. MCC on PC was good in the first week of launch with Reach but after all the normies dropped it the multiplayer instantly devolved into tryhard nightmares

Witcher 1.

new vegas

Remember when miyamoto hyped up a game, put it in the center staged, and lied to the consumers over and over and then dropped this hot quote?
Good times.

No, even nintendo is proof of this.

-Shigeru Miyamoto, his entire life.

Halo 2 was made in 3 months.

That's not rushed for that era. Especially for a game like this.
