Why are people upset when they have to wait for a game? The reactions I have seen to these delays make me wonder, why would waiting a little longer, or even a lot longer, make people so upset? Is it entitlement, expectation, or are they all just miserable sacks of shit who are looking for a reason to explain their daily frustration, and happy when one is given to them?

They said numerous times that they would not experience another delay, and then corporate forced a delay whilst deliberately hiding it from management and PR teams for over 24 hours for the sake of the ""shareholders"" (read: Google, and Stadia; as well as Microsoft and Sony in regards to "current-gen" systems like PS4/XBONE). The game is feature complete, but it doesn't run well on Stadia (for obvious reasons) nor does it run well on PS4/XBONE (because their HDDs/SSDs are incompatible with the LOD culling algorithm, which calls for higher bandwidth rates in polling than the hardware can support, leading to constant frame drops).

I don't really care about this game, looked kinda cool but probably won't be buying it. It is a reflection on the quality of the developer though, its not as cut and dry as "oh well more time = higher quality". It's the sign of a developer that likes to boast and when the time to deliver comes they scramble.
Not a lot of people remember but the same thing happened with Mercenaries 2. They promised a bunch of shit, then cut a bunch of features and delayed it a bunch of times. The game was a complete flop and shortly after the developer went under.
Its unfortunate because it all boils down to bad management.

I am aware they have continually delayed. Each time I have thought to myself, hmm, I wonder what is going on internally that they keep fucking up with their predicted release date? Till yesterday they kept saying that no more delays are happening. They already printed a lot of marketing posters etc. with the old release date. They announced that the CP2077 reached the gold status and nothing can change the release date anymore.
Its obviously raising a lot of questions about something going really wrong behind the scenes on CDPR. And they fucked up the communication with their fanbase enough time that it shouldnt be surprising that the people are getting angry.
