Ishikawa is actually completely and totally based, I can't believe the repair job she did on the Ascians. Took all that generic villain lore and cobbled it together into an actual working backstory with characterization and pathos

She even managed to make Zenos more interesting despite only having him for roughly 30 minutes. Just the simple addition of him being plagued by dreams of the end of Amaurot brought some dimension to his mental issues
