Big Navi

Thoughts on the Big Navi showcase tomorrow? (Console plebs need not reply)

I think there will be a variant that crushes the 3070 for the same price

Hype as fuck. Very keen, very ready.

It will be good to have more information, but there won't be reliable real-world performance figures until the embargo gets lifted for third party sites. I'll be buying it regardless.

What's AMD doing to compete against DLSS? DLSS is one of the main reasons why I'm tempted to stick with nvidia, especially with the inevitability of DLSS 3.0

When are these cards going to drop?

Apparently they're going to have their own form of DLSS that will work through the game driver if the rumors are to be believed. I just hope it works across every game.

they will advertise it edges out the 3080 in their showcase for cheaper.
Real benchmarks will put it actually a bit behind.
Nvidia will respond with a 3070s/ti that is actually a cut down 3080 in January to counter.

DLSS is literally unimportant. The fact that people keep mentioning it is just evidence that a lot of people are dumb enough to care about Nvidia's marketing BS.

True but if AMD prices their cards right like they how they priced Zen 2 then we'll have a winner on our hands.

We'll just have to wait and see tomorrow

>DLSS is literally unimportant
Who are you kidding?

I'm ready to drop 550 bux on whatever they got.
Already getting the 5900x

DLSS is actually the future if its able to be implemented in all games. Imagine 4k high refresh from an upsampled 1440p image because of AI. Thats just free frames user. If they fix DLSS to work on any game, who wouldnt run it?

>We'll just have to wait and see tomorrow
>tomorrow
tomorrow will be helpful for an explanation of architecture and their raytracing /direct storage/dlss type solutions.
Actual performance won't be known until review embargo. Numbers given by amd/intel/nvidia should be taken with a grain of alt.

For sure, but AMD doesn't inflate like NVIDIA. Did you see their Zen 3 showcase? They compared to intel and were honest when their chip didn't beat the Intel 10th gen cpus.

Are AMD drivers as bad as they say?

>if its able to be implemented in all games
kek.

>they fix it for everygame.
uhh that's not how it works.
they actually have to manually train a dlss model.
>For sure, but AMD doesn't inflate like NVIDIA.
LOL
> Did you see their Zen 3 showcase? They compared to intel and were honest when their chip didn't beat the Intel 10th gen cpus.
LOL
nothing is every "inflated"
everything from everyone is always cherrypicked and ran at cherrypicked settings. guess you don't remember the good old titan killer

The drivers are bad when retards think they can run a 5700 xt on a 8 year old computer with a shit mobo and an old intel 4 core without any problems

think of it like a feature. performance increases the longer you have the card!

Stupid reply from a stupid mind lol.

>I didn't watch the Zen 3 showcase so imma reply with LOL

okay

Look up DLSS 3.0 dumbfuck

I did watch the zen 3 showcase.
Where are the indepentantly verified benchmarks you are using for comparison? garuntee you actual ipc improvements are going to be lower and they cherrypicked to shit. every single cpu announce I've seen has exaggerated ipc gain for one.
But yes, quite frankly user using the only announcement we don't have any independent verification of for your comparison is kind of silly.

Stupid reply from a stupid mind lol.

Besides the fact, that it isn't even announced. even the rumours disagree with you and say >DLSS 3.0 will reportedly "work in any game with TAA" but it will require a Game Ready driver to do so, meaning developers will have to do some "specific programming per game to get it to work, but it should be easier than before"

I fucking hope so but I'm buying whichever has stock first

I'm probably gonna buy the highest end AMD card. It will probably have 3090 performance for much less.

In how many hours will the presentation start?

12 pm est

bout 10

~9,5 hours, got it.

$550 bucks will probably be the Rx 6800
