Nah.

>skillful
the guy who said tlou 2 gameplay was "outdated" and ghost/death stranding's was good
pass

>no link
do you expect me to go to youtube and get it myself, OP?

>ubishit
Kill yourself.

Haven't played legion but watchdogs 1 and 2 were mediocre and definetly not immersive sims.
It isn't even first person.

both those postulates are correct.

you telling me tlou2 wasnt a decade old when it came out?

anyway i always thought immersive sime was a type of game that tries to present its world in a believeable way and not just have 2 playstyles you can switch if you want
you know, IS should be a game that lets you turn on the light by flipping a light switch for every room individually or read some guys meaningless emails, and not just a sandbox with weak stealth and weak combat

I always took immersive sims as choices made trough gameplay like the gas bomb in deus ex hr

thats a part of it but most games apart from maybe CoD have choices you make through gameplay
you cant distinguish an immersive sim just from that

lmao shit game hard pass suck my nut skillup

Could you show me an example of a game which has complex choices made trough gameplay that is not an immersive sim?

sure, but first clarify what do you mean by choice
do you mean a different outcome to a situation or a different way to get through a situation with the same outcome, i was talking about the latter

>usual ubisoft open world tower action rpg
>now with proceduraly generated protagonists
peak soulless

Every grand strategy.

I mean a choice in gameplay which leads to a different outcome in a situation

>Immersive Sim
Ubisoft isn't capable of that.

Are there any characters you can play as that dont look like low poly shit?

I wasn't clar enough, a first person game

no, even aiden pearce is just a generic npc wearing his outfit

Gotta love how every time anyone reboots a character they have to give them a beard.

Immersive sims are gameplay choices that usually change many outcomes and the way AI reacts

>is it really though?
Are you really asking if a game made by the creator of Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2 is an immersive sim?

thats a bit harder to come by but:
Dark souls series
Fallout series
basically every RPG ever
Frostpunk
basically every city builder ever
Pyre
Stellaris
basically every 4x game ever
XCOM
most xcom lookalikes

i dont agree with this definition, immersive sim can not be defined just by having choice through gameplay

>I always took immersive sims as choices made trough gameplay like the gas bomb in deus ex hr
Immersive sims are about simulating reality for the purposes of immersion. This is why they're usually first person. Almost exclusively first person. With WDL, you can argue that the entire Legion/NPC system is creating this living, breathing world that exists without your input to immerse the player in it. It simulates an entire city filled with people who have schedules with other NPCs in that world. When you kill an NPC, their spouse mourns. It's a hugely ambitious undertaking that the player will generally only ever scratch the surface of. But it's intended to make the world feel real. Feel consistent.

Isnt it just some woke propaganda game?

WDL?

That guy claimed the new Battletoads was good.

This guy is either paid for his review or has criminally bad taste

I will now listen to his opinion.

Why not? Watch Dogs 2 was much better than GTAV if you skip all cutscenes

yeah you see the problem i have with that is the world in an immersive sim cant be randomly generated, because it undermines that immersion
i dont know if your example is even present in the game but lets say it is, having a relative be generated based on the action of you killing an npc is not immersive, its just a simple reaction to your actions that is meant to make the player feel guilty, it wont work when the pleyer realizes how the system works
stories in immersive sims are engaging and immersive because they are actually written and therefore unique and not just surface level trash
GTAV isnt an immersive sim just because npcs reacts to what you do

Huh, sounds like he's based
