He's fairly calm for a YouTuber, I never really see him geek out like Linus or other big channels. In general it seems like he doesn't want to be there half the time he's doing these videos and so I can only surmise that his appeal is that he is a no-frills guy showing off the goods.

Literally the only tolerable YouTuber apart from technigger.
And yes the charm is that he gives pretty unbiased opinions, and generally not even opinions since he mostly doesn’t review stuff, he just shows you what it can do. My only real complaint is that almost every phone he tests takes good photographs when he uses it because he literally has perfect lighting in his studio so the camera experience irl is very different from what he shows.

In a capitalistic society everything is an ad for something. There’s nothing wrong with that if you have an interest in that particular thing, or do you also not watch trailers for games/movies that interest you? Reviews for books you might want to read? Reviews for restaurants you wanna go?
