Literally who asked for this? It seems like such a waste of time for IOI.

Imagine unironically buying Hitman 2 after playing Hitman 1

I waited for a sale on Hitman 1 after all episodes released and I didn't buy Hitman 2 until this past summer when it was $10. I will wait for 3 the same way, and definitely not using Epic.

Hitman 2 is just a better Hitman 1 though.

Better than Blood Money too.

As long as I can keep all the shit I unlocked from 2 I will wait

>almost 2 months until release
>still no talk of possible new mechanics/maps

I’m worried Hitmanbros. They said in interviews that they’re planning to push the limits of the engine with Season 3, but so far they’re being suspiciously quiet on what they’re actually doing gameplay wise. They’re not even talking about the story either.

I’m still going to play it because the core gameplay is so good, but I worry there won’t be any new curveballs being thrown to keep me on my toes.

I always wanted some Lucas Grey + 47 co op.

You're solving a murder mystery in the second level set in a country mansion within in rural England.

> Hitman 2 is better than Blood Money.
How?

Imagine if it's a dynamic mission with different murderers instead of picking up a set number of clues to finish the mission like the suburbs level.

unsure about this but weren't they also silent when working on hitman 2? Like we knew the locations really late? I'm starting to worry too as we only saw little gameplay

Do you not think it’s slightly worrying that the last big reveal they made was teasing a single mission story/opportunity in one of the levels?

By this point prior to Season 2’s release we knew about:
>the briefcase returning
>hiding in foliage
>working mirrors
>split screen
>camera grids
>tranq gun and flash grenades
>improved combat AI
>Miami, Columbia, Mumbai, Whittleton and Hawke’s Bay

Meanwhile, about Season 3 all we know is:
>Dubai, English Manor, Hong Kong somewhere
>darker tone
>VR compatibility and EGS temporary exclusivity

It just smells fishy.

I look forward to Hitman 3 being released in 2022. And 6 months later when I catch it on a sale for 70% off.

I look forward to Hitman 3 being released in 2021 for 0€

The VR stuff is interesting. We'll see how that plays out. In 2022.

>Hitman: Codename 47
what dlc?

I supported HM(tm) 1 and 2 on launch day and they repay me by making me wait an extra year like some second-class citizen.
So I'll be getting 3 for free and seeding that shit to as many people as I can, thanks for your understanding IO

Extra maps I believe. At least that was a case with hitman 2

>supporting single player games that require a constant internet connection
retard

it's gonna be a level pack with like 1 or 2 slightly different mechanics. The murder mystery will be a scripted mission story. You read it here.

What do you miss out on if you play offline?

elusive missions I guess

>The murder mystery will be a scripted mission story
I don’t think anyone is expecting anything else. It’ll probably be like the climate change meeting in Sgail—an event that requires a specific disguise, but you get a choice in dialogue options that affect which kill opportunities become available.

I think you need to be online to unlock new equipment

It's just some new levels, no big loss

He cute

I got a bad feeling this is going to be the last Hitman game, kind of sucks IOI got screwed over by SquareEnix with the super anti-consumer way they released the first game in the trilogy.

You do. It’s a legitimate concern if the servers ever shut down without IO releasing a patch to make unlocks offline.

Even if it is, I don’t think it’s a bad place to leave the series off. Better to end the series on what is arguably a better game than Blood Money as opposed to ending it on Absolution.

it's a better game

who buys shit on day one?
Just wait a year or two and pay $12.
