What's going to stop someone from leaking it before December?
Anyone can just grab a copy off the assembly/printing line and sell it on ebay for megabux.

Unless the game is so broken that it's literally unplayable without the day 0 patch.

Protip: the game is literally unplayable without the day 0 patch.
They delayed it again because they can't get console certification. They are looking at class action law suit level fucked it all up.

>They delayed it again because they can't get console certification.

Source ~ your asshole.

are people actually actively 'hyped' for this game or are they just looking forward to it? it looks like another shit feeling fps rpg with no weight behind the combat

That could happen. Back in the day someone stole a copy of fable 3 and uploaded it like a month or more before release date.

They've shown playable content on PC. But not on consoles even once.

no they are not going to get sued lol, you guys desperately want a tortanic and are assblasted there's another delay before it releases

>game sells gold
>gets delayed
The absolute state of the vidya industry.

I'm /cautiouslyoptimistic/ because I want a new Deus Ex after the actual Deus Ex died, though I didn't really like the witcher CP2077 looks decent enough to at least want to see what's up

If you want to know once they go gold and ship out copies it can takes up to a week to a month to get to distributors and then up to a week before release it is at the stores.
It has a bigger chance of getting leaked desu

Imagine how bad Demon's Souls sales are that Sony needed CDPR to delay the game for one month.

>They've shown playable content on PC. But not on consoles even once.

Probablt because consoles are substantially less powerful than the PCs CDPR use for promotional footage.

>sells gold
You mean went gold.
When a game goes gold it means that the actual, final, to-be-released copy of the game is burned to a disc, which is then distributed to factories which copy the disk, make cases, labels, etc. And then they distribute them.

So either they lied about the game going gold or it actually did go gold and somebody will leak it before release.

What a stupid theory.

Here's what happened
>Goes to certification
>Sony/MS test it
>Gets a conditional certification on the condition that they fix a list of issues with a day 1 patch
>Start burning discs
>Day 1 patch passes certification but they detect additional errors that would cause it to fail
>Errors are actually on the disc version - just undetected before the patch
>Have to re-burn the discs with a build that has that error fixed

It most likely failed cert from either Sony or MS.

Daily reminder that cucks that say shit like "It's okay take your time :)" are idiots who don't understand how poorly managed this game's development has been and how devs have been doing crunch for months and months because some fucktard in a suit decided that ALL 9 FUCKING VERSIONS OF THE GAME should be released on the same date.

Console cucks and vidyta suits once again fucking everyone over.

Most reasonable scenario floating about is the game isn't passing console certification. The game could be sitting on someone's system right now. Doesn't mean anything will come of it if it is literally blocked by the system (no cert).

It absolutely "went gold" because shipping those games to the west hemisphere and putting them in the "mail" takes time.
Now they will have to waste more in storage and patches

>It's okay take your time :)
this but unironically :)

As a day-one Stadiabro, gotta hand it to Big G for delaying Cyberpunk and guaranteeing a same-day release. Enjoy downloading your Day 0 patches, cloudlets

OP here, okay that does seem like the most reasonable answer. How the fuck did they mess up this badly?
inb4 someone finds an exploit to hack the PS5/Xbox SeX/S through Cyberpunk.

Everyone told me CDPR was good.....................

I don't get it. Why are people hyped for a watch dogs rip-off?

>how poorly managed this game's development has been

Source ~ your ass.

most games aren't in development for 8 years.
most games don't get delayed multiple times.

I do. And i will be more hiped if this game was 100% made for PC and the consoles get the port months later.
But i guess you need the console money to do things.

>are people actually actively 'hyped
i am yeah

>most games aren't in development for 8 years.

Cyberpunk 2077 started development in earnest in May 2016 after Blood and Wine was released. It's only been delayed by 8 months - similar to other AAA titles:

theverge.com/2019/10/24/20930546/ubisoft-delays-watch-dogs-legion-gods-and-monsters-rainbow-six-quarantine

You literally don't know what you're talking about.

it was in development for 4 years
games of this size (RDR2, GTA V, W3) do get delayed multiple times
