Yakuza can only do 60 fps at 900p, aka it can't handle a next-gen game running in actual HD. Also it won't support DMC5 ray tracing at all, and the DOOM Eternal devs have already voiced their concerns about how much this console is gonna hold back development.

The switch is the true bottle neck. It’s selling well enough that companies will want to release their games on it.

Devs at least have the option of not making games on the Switch. Every game that runs on the X will have to run on the S too, which is gonna totally fuck devs over. You can only lower framerate and resolution so much. At some point you just have to admit a game isn't gonna run on a system not powerful enough to support it.

iirc some infinity ward devs have also said the Series S is going to hold back next gen. people don't realise how big of an issue it will be going forwards

plus the Switch has the handheld excuse. that's why Hitman III and Control are going cloud based. realistically it's the only way to get the Series S to go 1440p for the next 5-7 years.
