because i don't give a fuck if there are no consequences
if it is a big company they already have enough money
if it is a small indy studio 50€ won't help them survive it actually helps them if i pirate and is a good game because i will still tell everyone to play it and maybe help them grow that way

No. I've bought a lot of games that I pirated because I liked them. I don't feel bad about it because I ended up paying for them.
I have not bought a lot of games that I've pirated. I don't feel bad about it but rather I'm glad I didn't spend money on them because they weren't very good.

I don't even know where to start

I dont feel anything anymore

start with
i am a cuck

If a game I’m emulating is really good but I have no means of supporting the developer nowadays then yeah

Nope. If I bought every game I played I wouldn't be able to afford my pc.

No, The developers already got paid, why should I be? If i like a game enough I'll eventually buy it on sale though.

No because it's rarely too late to buy the game later if I like it enough.

/thread
how is this debatable?

Only when it's an indie game and I actually like it

no
if I like a game after I pirate it Ill check up on the devs to see if theyve done any cringe shit and then Ill decide if I want it on my steam permanent record or not
I regret NOT pirating risk of rain 2 after the fucking stadia cancer

No

no because I can't afford them anyway.

For indie devs, Yes. For Corporations, No.

No.
If the devs are indie, and the game is good I buy or donate after the fact.
Examples: Factorio, Rimworld, Dwarf Fortress, Unreal World.

When I buy games, I buy DRM free from the dev's website. If I must buy the game on steam in order to play it, then I do not buy it at all. Humble Bundle and GOG are alright, but not preferred.

I just pirate everything, unless it's a multiplayer game I thirsting on.

Agreedo with this user. Try before you buy, but always reward good games from small developers with a few of your shekels.

start with the tip, faggot

no
im not spending my cash on a crappy game that wastes my time
if i like it, ill buy/donate to devs after

What do I really NEED to pirate effectively besides a computer, keyboard and mouse?
Whenever I research into it, I get conflicting methods

>tfw too poor to feel bad about it

No. I could care less about how developers feel. I just want to play the damn game.

Just go to IGG games and have torrent/winrar installed. That's literally it.

No
I pirate to try a game out, because regular demos barely exist any more and all the people playing them on Twitch and Youtube have a financial incentive to make the game look good and gloss over the bullshit. If a game pulls me in after 1 session, I'll buy it.

Get a seedbox and start begging for invites to private trackers like Gazelle Games. They offer a lot more than you'll find on The Pirate Bay and RUtracker.

I felt bad after I finished Outer Wilds, because it was amazing. Strangely, I don't feel that bad about Return of the Obra Dinn, which was pretty good. I couldn't afford either one; I subsist mostly on rice. Piracy does not concern me generally.
