What's the correct difficulty to play each halo game Zig Forums?
What's the correct difficulty to play each halo game Zig Forums?
Heroic is the default games settings. With the other difficulties being multipliers on the base values. So normal because it's a bit too hard for me.
Laso
1 - Legendary
2 - Heroic with thunderstorm
3 - Legendary with tough luck
ODST - LASO
Reach - Heroic with tough luck and thunderstorm
Just try out normal, and if you dont find it challenging then increase the difficulty. Don't listen to tryhards.
all of these are acceptable. if it's your very first time playing then you should start with heroic and thunderstorm. after you get the hang of things anything less than legendary feels too easy
>after you get the hang of things anything less than legendary feels too easy
This, only problem I have with legendary is that some weapons become straight up useless
Easy is the canonical difficulty because in Combat Evolved certain events only line up with the books whilst you play on Easy mode, and the books were written before Easy difficulty was added post-August 2001.
Normal
The books are based on the games and since the default difficulty is Normal, that's the canon difficulty now go fuck off with your faggot ass non-canon bookshit.
Nope, faggot.
SLASO
>bookshit
Yup, faggot, Nylund stated it and Troy Dennys recently stated it even went as far as to say like Bungie, sometimes 343 ignore things they don't like or just plan retcons it. FPS games were always the true canon events.
>Bookfag
kill yourself
Pretty sure you're both making up shit and you know it.
>343
The same retards who canonized a Spartan-II time-travelling to 2004 aboard a space station, and simultaneously canonized an AI fracturing and time-travelling back to 2004 trailed by a Covenant AI? ilovebees is canon under 343. Their opinion doesn't fucking matter.
Reach on Heroic turns the game into a Human-Covenant Simulator
Normal = the actual way it was meant to be played if you enjoy story/dialogue. Most of your marines will survive, and they actually add to the story and dialogue. They also each have unique dialogue. I can't think of examples of what exactly is said so I'll make one up. If you get to a part where dialogue is triggered a sergeant marine will say something like "we need to clear these brutes to establish a landing zone", but if that sergeant NPC dies a common marine voiced by 1 or 2 alternate voice actors will say something else like "gosh.. that's a lot of brutes" and won't reference that a pelican is gonna land once you clear them, and if all your marines are dead cortana or someone else will say "chief, clear the area and we'll send pelicans"
So basically heroic/legendary is the best way to play for a good challenge where you're constantly on edge and using a good variety of weapons, but normal is better to listen to all the dialogue and story.
this
whenever i replay halo 3 i choose normal so that i can carry marines around in my warthog as i let them kill everything and listen to their banter
>some
its a lot more than just some. if it is an automatic besides the plasma rifle its shit, in 2 the needler and pistol and pistol are useless, bruteshot is useless in every game
Canon for sure, as the Master Chief you should be an invencible killing machine
Heroic is the best if you want to be fairly challenged. Medium with some skulls is pretty fun. Halo 1 legendary is the series' best legendary difficulty.
I'm not going to lie I've only ever played all the Halos on easy at most the hardest was normal even on normal I'm still struggling
What's your ranking of each games Legendary difficulty?
Whatever is the most fun to you. I would recommend playing at normal first for story. Collect the skulls! Then do new play through a messing with which skull you use for your new play throughs
>desushit
> Halo 1>Reach>Halo 3>ODST>>>Halo 2
Getting rid of health kind of fucked up the difficulty balance for anything above Heroic. You just die way way too quickly and the game's past Halo 1 become overly tactical because of it. And getting rid of vehicle health after Halo 1 fucks up vehicle combat. So you die just as quickly while in a ghost than out of one.
Heroic is the actual canon difficulty
Arent elites supposed to be equal to spartans?
i've only played the games on legendary other than when i was looking for achievements
