QTEs are bad when they're insta-death QTEs. Outside of that, punishment/reward QTEs aren't bad. Especially in games where you can flat out disable them.

Because asura's wrath is an anime mini series turned into a barebones game and its selling point is spectacle.
Bayonetta has both types of QTEs, the instant death ones are horse shit and are the main ones that everyone hates and are used all the time in movie games. The "mash X during a move for bonus damage" ones are fine because you can ignore them if you like and you don't lose on the spot for missing it.
