Does anyone else have a good gaming PC, but mostly play with a controller? I just like having multiplats at 4k60 on a massive screen with surround sound.
I hate using mice they're uncomfortable. I do use a trackball for desktop & occasional turn-based games.

unfortunately the fps world is ruined at this point. all new games are crossplay and mouse and keyboard cant compete with aim assist anymore. every single BR that is crossplay is dominated by controller and thats not opinion its literal fact. everyone is buying great new PCs for the fov and fps but staying on controller for that easy non-involved aiming
It's no replacement for keyboard and mouse, you're just going to get your ass killed in games that require your gun lined up with someone's head in a split second.
But gyro is a million times better for games where it's not a big deal. For example I play TW3 with a PS3 controller and when I hold the crossbow or throw bomb button, gyro activates.
I used to be a huge controller simp, until i bought a damn steam controller, the amount of workaround i had to do to make it work on emulators and on launchers that are not steam made me despise it so much i now use KB+M for every game, even if it's optimized for controller

The new steam controller settings are great you can just plug in a ps3 or switch controller and it just works

I will always use a controller if a game doesn’t have any aiming elements. If it does I’ll either use kb/m or switch between them.

Yes. I'm an older man now and stopped caring about using mouse and keyboard. Life long PC gamer btw. I just like sitting in my comfy chair in my living room and using my wired 360 controller to play all my games.

I use a controller on certain games, such as Dead Cells, Witcher 3, etc.
While with every other game (especially shooters) I use Keyboard and Mouse
I only use Mouse and Keyboard for RTS and competitive FPS.
I started the whole PC shit in 2014 because most games were supporting the 360 gamepad natively, literally that and the piracy fact, which I always liked.
I'm on the upper hand of the troubleshooting society but I still think my PC is a glorified self-made console and nothing more, it's pretty brutal to have power over your hardware and make your own decisions, love every day of it.
Sure it's not for everyone and I can understand most people will give up with troubleshooting and racking up infos, thankfully I'm a stubborn memory sponge so it wasn't too hard.
But yeah, the whole thing is quite woke, and if you're actually smart you will not go broke.
Now if you pay for games you are intelligence deficient unless it's online multiplayer games.

Controllers are for games designed for controllers, you cant work around the motion controls, elegantly, in a majority of wii games. For games that have competent PC ports Keyboard and mouse are absolutely more accurate and offers more persicion which sounds like it would be preferable if you're willing to blowup your resolution.

lately, i've been playing RE5 and 6 mercenaries co-op mode. i can usually find a random partner, but solo is good too
Most ports aren't redesigned for kbm. Even if they are playable, the menus usually fuck you up. Good example being DDDA, and any "action rpg" that isn't diablo clone (DMC and souls type games).
So KBM is left for actual rpgs, RTS, and FPS games.

What are you schizoing? Wheel is exclusively for racing games, and no one plays FPS games on controller on PC unless they have brain damage.
