She said my name

>thinks it's actual work

They're entertaining people but at the end they're still part of the "jobs" out there that generate a ridiculous amount of money for doing fuck-all

they will all go to hell for this, that's for sure

Then sub for 5 bucks. You get a service in return and many streamers offer additional perks beyond what twitch gives. Donating 100 dollars to a millionaire is just bizarre.

I would never pay any streamer but its work.
You have people hating their live grinding 10h streams in hope of making it big and finally getting enough money to live of it. Its not any more fun than an office job. in fact i bet office jobs are mentally healthier than having to deal playing clown for the retards on twitch.

Depends on how the streamer manages their chat. Streaming is better than most "socially acceptable" jobs once you can live off it.

Taking it over construction work is a nobrainer but as said i believe most office jobs would be better for your wellbeing unless its call center / customer support which is just even worse based on the same problem - other people. Gotta be nervewrecking also when they make a mistake and suddenly lose half the viewers. I observe the scene on a shallow basis and you see streamers try a different game and lose viewers they needed years to build up. I honestly wouldn't want to do it.

It's a another angry wagie thread. Isn't your coffee shitpost break over and you have to back to stacking boxes for minimum wage?

This. I can understand giving them a sub, but donating hundreds to a millionaire makes absolutely no sense at all.

It all depends on how big we're talking. Once a streamer is established, they're living on easy street. They get paid for literally just hanging out and playing video games with their friends, and occasionally reading chat. The massive streamers aren't really working because they're smart enough to do what they enjoy or would normally already do.
It's not "work" to play video games with your friends and then "react" to youtube videos you were already interested in watching

I considered once sub only a possible improvement to chat quality but in reality it just means simps only and doesnt help actual discussion

Some of the massive streamers occasionally turn on sub only chat. It's really not much of an improvement, just tempts people into paying, and if you want to go out on a limb people are less likely to shit up the chat and risk a ban if they're subbed

of course but the top streamers are like lottery winners. When i write about streamers i mean the 99% who wont make it anywhere close to 10k viewer levels.

There's less than 10 streamers who are actually millionaires. That's it. Stop being retarded.

Yeah, for those it's work. It's obnoxious seeing those top streamers desperately pretend that it's hard doing what they do, when they're living a fucking dream

hey guys remember when people just made content for the fun of it
Now it seems like every simple fun thing on the internet becomes just another jewhole of normal fags coming in to ruin everything for money

Though there are thousands who do make a living doing it, even if it's just being able to afford rent in a shitty apartment.

I got $30 on a stream once. It took maybe 5 hours & by the end of it I was exhausted. How much does DSP make per stream? I'm genuinely curious.

People are getting poorer with each year thanks to wages not keeping up with inflation and rona made it worse. So what do you expect? Every niche is gonna get monetized longterm.

I'm wanting to stream, but keep putting it off because it's a chore to make all new accounts to keep my info off of it, and having to upgrade my paypal to a business account

Why upgrade? When you start you aint getting big numbers anyway.

>work
You cannot possibly be this delusional

Because if you don't upgrade people see your full name when they donate to your paypal. You upgrade to a business account so they only see whatever business name they make.
I believe it's free to do, but still another thing to add onto the list of stuff to do before streaming

Extremely. If you actually pay somebody money to play video games I think that actually is a symptom of being mentally retarded.

Whether you like it or not, quality content requires time and effort, and as people get older they run out of time to do things because of having to work 40 hours a week.
It's only natural for people to want to get money for something they put time into, especially if it helps make it their new full time job to make content
