Someone explain to me why Suda51 can release flawless 60 FPS ports of No More Heroes 1 and 2 but Nintendo couldn't do the same with Mario 3D All-Stars? Isn't one a small studio and the other a juggernaut?

Guess which one got more sales.

Wasn't this done by Marvelous? They're not exactly small

just emulate

Because Nintendo knows people will buy it anyway.

Developed by Engine Software and published by Marvelous. GhM wasn't actually involved beyond Suda supervising.

the other 2 games are to compensate for SM64, which can't be played at 60fps for obvious reasons

because 3d all stars is a cash grab

they threw the job to a small studio to shit the games onto an emulator and make them run "good enough"

they knew people would pay full price for the marios of their childhood, since most people are dispshits and don't care about the problems the games have.
Then they pulled a disney vault and said "you better buy it now or kid you is gonna cry!" they are scum and they know they can get away with it.

Nintendo does not give a fuck.

Because NMH games are proper ports while Mario 3D All Stars are just emulated

Yeah. NMH has more modern code so doing a native port is easier, the same way Galaxy's cpu logic is native.

Nintendo is slowly becoming gamefreak

Good question

This

Aren't the games missing multiple music tracks though?

Only one, Heavenly Star, due to licensing problems

GhM and Tecmo wouldn't even fix fatal frame 4, which had a game breaking bugs.

Huh, I was in a thread about the ports earlier and saw someone listing multiple songs that were missing
I actually am interested in the ports, cause I haven't played the series yet, so if they're only missing a single track or something I'll likely get them on the switch

Every thread until now stated it's two songs that are missing, one of them being Heavenly Star

The Shinobu fight in the 1 port is buggier than a Bethesda game.

>flawless
So where's all that extra content from Heroes Paradise?

Suda is someone who puts effort, passion some creativity instead of prioritizing profits while making a videogame.

Also; Suda is a rarity that will be even more rare.

PC release when? No reason for this to be held hostage by the Switch.

Oh, my god. I just realized something. Maybe Nintendo does a sort of planned "one or two flaws" with their rereleases so that we keep on hoping the next time will be better.

Oh, virtual console is dark? We fixed that but it doesn't run right. Oh it doesn't run right? We fixed that but... and so on and so on

>Heroes Paradise
Ew.

>Transition to HD is making their new games lacking
I see it happening tbqh. Anyway Nintendo is dead, it died with Iwata so don't worry; the last bastion they were against shitty practices is was already gone.

>Shilling Heroes Paradise and complaining about two songs
This is now the pasta of NMH threads. Heavenly star is in the game files apparently.

Yeah, EW at the Switch port that is lazily based on the Wii original instead of Heroes Paradise that added a ton of content and gameplay mechanic fixes.

>Heavenly star is in the game files apparently.
Neat, I wonder if there'll be a way to restore the songs via homebrew or hacking

Shut up, Eric.

>Zig Forums is so contrarian that now people are defending Heroes Paradise

Because Suda is based and Nintendo is not

Who's Eric?

Because it's a better version.

>that is lazily based on the Wii original
Excellent bait

Engine Software also did the port for Killer 7 on PC. They could do it again for NMH 1 and 2 on PC.
But we gotta show the support by buying Travis Strikes Again on PC, its on sale on steam now

Only if you can't acces 2 for some reason. Otherwise, you're better off playing the original uncesored qith fixed controls and framerate than the half assed mishmash that HP was.

You mean Marvelous is based right?
