I do think it's better than Hollow Knight in everything except atmosphere and art. However, I played Hollow Knight as my first metroidvania and that first experience isn't letting me compare it to others. Still, definetly worth a play if you've never played it. I might replay it soon with all the DLC on BEX difficulty, since I've only beaten the second hardest one.
Also, yes, people do discredit the game due to anime and ecchi content. Last thread about it had a comment that just said "I'm not playing this game due to the anime artstyle out of principle" and that was 1 out of 2 total comments.

Because the shit never goes on sale on the switch

We used to have a lot of threads about it, it's just been a while. Normalfags are scared of the art so don't play it, but that's left it unspoiled by reddit. Amazing game with an almost overwhelming amount of content.

Danmaku boss mechanics are the most lazy, cancerous thing a developer can do. Completely ruined the game for me.

My computer is not powerful enough for the game so I only could play hollow knight. It's a shame because I want to play this instead. Not that HK is bad, I had a blast.

Really fun game but got filtered hard by some early bosses. Don't do sidescrollers in general really.

I just bought it the other day and I don't really care for it. Way too many cutscenes and too much dialogue. Each little conversation is much longer than it needs to be. Also, it's quite often pointless little things that are of no consequence to the story, so I started just skipping through because they were so boring.

silksong is going to make metroidvania/metroid-like games on this board unsalvageable

Tried the game.
The story is absolute horse shit
The gameplay is alright
The graphic is meh
The music is fine
A solid 6/10.
But of course weaboo Zig Forums deem it as the perfect game because of muh waifus.
