Morrowind on the xbox as a young child. Walking around in the rain, no idea where you're going, danger all around.

The happy ending completely invalidates how shitty things got.

This anime is impossible to recommend because it's such a slow build up that requires the viewer to pay attention.

As for vidya? Nier is the only game I consider to be "sad."

I remember crying like a bitch to this series, good times

Nakige isn't sad faggot, play an utsuge.

Terranigma.
Legend of Mana a close second.

Nagisa should have stayed dead.

Wait, she doesn't? Hahahahah, alright, not playing it then

Gunbuster

This. Feel like all that buildup was a waste of time.

The original Walking Dead from Telltale made me sad

This.

It’s the only video game that made me cry.

I *almost* cried after beating Mass Effect 3, watching Shepard die but then saw how retarded the ending was and how clearly rushed it felt only to be followed up by a message pop up telling me to “buy the DLC” made me angry, not said.

Blue Reflection

Ether One, legitimately made me cry. It's a puzzle game about a guy trying to safe his wife from dementia, and you relive a bunch of his memories with her. The ending fucked me right up.

Most of the Key Anime got me, I think the only one that didn't was Rewrite.

As for vidya, it'd have to be Trials & Tribulations, Unwound Future or Trauma Team

I felt dead inside

Dango dango dango.
Frankly I am glad Nagisa came back to life, it's all explained, cheesy, probably but I really like the story

This stupid asshole put a bullet in the ceiling.

This anime felt like it was trying way too hard to be sad and dramatic and I felt ripped off after seeing it recommended so much.

>all that buildup was a waste of time
So you missed all the other buildup about the city and the magic lights then?

As much as the wish granting fireflies were established and foreshadowed, they went too far with the happy end. The whole thing kind of spits in the face of the whole theme of "not dwelling in the past and actively searching for new reasons to live".

The wish should have been just to save Ushio. Having the vision where he speaks with Nagisa and takes back what he said about wishing he had never met her was all the closure he needed on that front.

But its been like 10 years since I watched it. Maybe I completely misunderstood the theme and it was actually about not easily letting go of the things that give your life meaning. I should probably rewatch it.

Also reminder that new Key-kino is airing this season.

I wouldn't describe clannad as sad, would decribe it as wholesome af

I actually cried in the end of Bioshock 2, at least the ending that I got. The one where Eleanor takes off her helmet and just kinda sits sadly beside you while you die. To be fair, this game came out right as I was like 16-17 and just beginning to foster that "protect daughter" reflex, so I think Eleanor was just the proper macguffin at the right place and time.

Bioshock 2 neutral ending was great

Clannad is not meant to be depressing but an overall wholesome experience which is why Nagisa living is part and parcel with the overall theme.

the answer is and always will be NIER

This, I don't care if it's a cop out from a story writing perspective, Nagisa's death, the Sunflower meadow scene and Ushio's deaths (Dreamworld and Realworld) still fucking hit as did the reunion on the hill.

I think Clannad (and to a greater extent After Story) was basically the anime adaptations of Key's stuff hitting its stride, Kanon and Air felt like they were finding their footing and then Angel Beats & Little Busters afterwards came off as riding the wave with Charlotte being a bit of a fall off and then Rewrite just being kinda eh...

That flower scene almost made me fucking kill myself. I almost never get emotional at anything and I cried on and off for days over that shit.

What do you think of Summer Pockets?

Does anyone in this thread jack it to anime hentai?

So is it one autist making all these threads across multiple boards?
For what purpose?

Oh, almost ironically I forgot the saddest scene from Clannad, Fuko disappearing from everyone's memories

To The Moon

Whenever I finish or about to finish a really good game

Silmilar feel to when someone close dies, but the memories remain intact

She does unless you go for the bullshit "best" ending where through the power of magic orbs, Nagisa and Ushio are brought back to life, lose their debilitating diseases, and time is reversed.
