How come people still play Skyrim to this day?
How come people still play Skyrim to this day?
Cunny mods
mods i guess
Zig Forumsyards nitpick random things and think that means people will stop playing it. Skyrim is more than the sum of its parts. It is still the premiere fantasy adventure autism sim game and normies and hardcore gamers alike still go to it for that. The setting is amazing and the gameplay gives you the freedom to do whatever you want. No forcefield, no blockades, just a big fantasy sandbox where you get to do whatever you want to.
It also has literally the biggest modding community of any game ever made, so all your little nitpicks can be erased should you do your research and play around with mods.
this but unironically, I probably have over 2000 hours in Skyrim on the xbox 360
because there is no alternative
Tired of the fucking dungeon.
It’s the same fucking dungeon over and over.
idk but my girlfriend still does
girls love bethesda shovelware for some reasons
oh look another cp2077 shitpost thread made by a discord tranny
kys
What scares me is that the states of the gaming industry makes me have appreciation for pieces of shit like Skyrim. I guess you can get conditioned to like anything if what comes after is worse
fuck off back to discord you stinking tranny
She probably installed coomer mods and self inserts as the mc getting stuffed by redguards and orcs repeatedly
100%
Man these are getting lazy
>Zig Forumsyards nitpick random things
Well with all Bethesda games since Skyrim the problem is not the limits of the game but rather the depth.
In terms of characters, story and world building Oblivion or Morrowind is very much superior to Skyrim. While there is a lot to do in Skyrim everything you do within it is quite forgettable and arguably redundant for the most part.
You'd think assassinating the Emperor in the dark brotherhood questline would have some major consequences for all of Tamriel. But that is not the case at all, besides some random guards commenting on it nothing really happens in the world around you.
Its fairly shallow.
The setting and world are well made. The soundtrack is good and the game plays smoothly. Also there are a lot of quality mods. I'm having a blast playing through the game with Requiem.
The thing I dislike about it the most are the weak main quest and factionquestlines. The game has a ton of things wrong with it, but at the end of the day it's still a solid game. It would be my favourite TESgame if the writing and voice acting wasn't so mediocre
same as stalker
OP post gives me cancer
>The setting is amazing
it's got pseudo vikings and snow.. and coniferous trees... and pseudo VIKINGS
>gameplay gives you the freedom to do whatever you want.
if you're talking about climbing mountains.. sure. besides that it objectively offers you less to do and far fewer things to change then the previous games.
Zig Forums has been trashtalking since the first couple of trailers were released, dunno what this guy is about.
I never felt this to be the case. There's a bunch of dungeon types. There's ice caverns, bandit hideouts, caves, ancient more ruins, dwemer ruins, and probably a few other types.
Samefag
That is only true for Morrowind. The story in Oblivion is total crap and the "depth" level is the same as Skyrim.
it actually released
8 times
It was a gateway game to a lot of normies who started gaming around 2011-2012
They come back to it every now and then because it reminds them of simpler times.
after the 4th brainlet "puzzle" I uninstalled the game. tes games were always about the dungeon crawling and I honestly couldn't stand how insulting that shit was. "oh look turn pillers. let me turn around and get the combo.."
porn mods are the only that saved it
Cute spiders.
Skyrim is like Freelancer desu
Both are casual as fuck games in genre.
Both are popular as fuck.
Freelancer is popular in Zig Forums for same reason. It was "babys first" exploration game.
Skyrim would be better with Oblivion system. It was perfect
Its been a steady decline but at least in oblivion you actually see those gates popping up everywhere and even when closed you still have ruins of those gates still standing around.
You can actually enter the paradise of Mankar Camoran, the Shivering Isles and Jyggalags invasion is impressive, many characters are actually interesting to to talk to.
Skyrim is just one big fetch quest basically.
yep, that's going in my cringe compilation
based coomer
>Skyrim would be better with Oblivion system.
You mean... The broke leveling system and mind-fuckingly bad level scaling?
seethe harder discord tranny
>"depth" level is the same as Skyrim.
Absolutely wrong.
Same, I thought the dungeons were pretty good, especially the dwemer ones. Their layouts were a bit straightforward though, that could've been a lot better. Also puzzles are way too simple. Draugr dungeons really needed more enemy variety though, and the crypts did feel a bit samey.
Even though the story in Oblivion wasn't amazing. I thought it presented itself way better than Skyrim. The voice acting (even though there were only like 10 VA's) was a lot better and the setpieces were a lot more memorable
Dawnstar, the sprawling metropolitan capital of The Pale. One of the most important centres of trade and commerce in Tamriel.
because it's literally the most modded game of all time? and there's not really that many other medieval open world action rpgs like Skyrim even nowadays
because the vast majority of people have shit taste.
No, those one were not good parts. RPG systems. Perfect middle ground. The melee combat was worst part of Oblivion tho but it can be improved. Same for Skyrim
Feel free to tell me which cRPG I should be playing instead that has just as much if not more character customization.
Hard mode: full 3D graphics and released in the last decade.
I still can't believe CP2077 is also competing with Skyrim as the next definitive modding game.
Apparently, Obsidian's trying to make Avowed just like that, with mod support and all. Done right, it would be pretty good. Done wrong, it would be Outer Worlds but even worse.
Skyrim really did its cities dirty. Whiterun, a center of trade, has fewer merchants than towns in Morrowind, like Balmora or even Gnisis.
oh god I fucking wish...
Pathfinder.
