Bros i fucked up and played on the hardest difficulty before I realized there was a harder difficulty

Don't worry. You can't play on Insane unless you beat it once anyway.

I already am. I replay the series everytime on october. I'm currently playing extraction

Bump

First game is an outdated masterpiece
Second game was "ok"
Third game was awful

Could 3 have had any chance at being good?

Not until EA adds steam achievements to 1 and 2 like they did with 3.

I hear it's pretty good in co-op while playing as the not Isaac character

I actually kind of like 3 as fuck around SciFi shooter. Piss poor dead space game though. The love triangle is baffling. Why the fuck would they add that?

I pirated and tried the first one but the insane FoV made me nauseous within seconds, and when I realized I had to fuck around with mods to make it playable I kinda bailed.
Still want to play it though but I'll just wait for the inevitable remake

I tried OP, but after playing it once the spooky atmosphere is gone...

>outdated
the lighting in the game wipes the floor with any game recently

I did like three little detial with the lighting come from the helmet

>ywn play your favorite horror games for the first time ever again
It hurts

sub human. Widescreen fix and FoV fixer take seconds to install and activate. Happy you'll be dead soon.

Is the PC port of DS still garbage?

But I did play them. Both of them. Still holds up with DS1 shitting on so many games visually even today with how good the art direction is. DS2 is far more tense to play though.

No? there are tweaks I recommend you follow in the forums that makes the games look and run great. Didn't have a single issue.

I wish I could replay this for the first time, I've replayed 1 & 2 probably 4 times each and nothing comes close to killing me with the exception of that shitty elevator "boss".

Plus once you know how to abuse telekinesis and rip their own claws off and chuck it at them you get way more leway with ammo

Did these ever legitimately spook anyone here? I honestly got pretty unnerved on the crew quarters and the planet surface. I mean heart pounding not wanting to move forward spooked.

Frankly the games actually suck. Imbalanced, frustrating, and archaic.
I only enjoy dead space for the theme.

Would you

The games put me on edge, made me tense, but never outright spooked. Only games with ghosts or psychological shit like what Silent Hill does gets to me.

You can only enjoy games in they have acheebmints

DS1 had me pretty tense for most of it but DS2 really didn't spook me as much. People hyped up the stalkers but they were a letdown. On the other hand going back to the Ishimura was a bit spooky and the Church has great atmosphere.

You're point ESL?

The suit upgrade path in 1 is the best. I do love most of the suits in 2 though.
