I think your hitbox is also larger when you are on a turkey. I think if you are riding a turkey your hitbox becomes the size of the turkey's hitbox.

Is the method for finding the black market the same as the previous game? Only been to the jungle a few times but ive never noticed the appropriate item activating.

It works the same as in HD, but I think you need to be closer for the udjat eye to start beeping. You definitely want to sweep around the floors as much as you can to make sure you don't miss it.

There's some other stuff to watch out for, like the subdued black market music in the back caves before you find it, compass pointing to two exits, and if you can see the entrance from a back cave.

But in exchange the turkey takes damage instead of you. Turkeys are pretty good as mounts, because they have double jump, gliding, damage protection, can walk on thorny vines, and can be eaten. They're almost like Vlad's cape, in a way.

Altars for a cape is a really dumb trade in general even if you aren't going volcana. Sacrificing is so OP in this game, pissing on Kali is pretty much just stupid if you're trying to seriously win.
