In terms of the actual gacha, Genshin is hardly different. Lower rates but has an actual pity system that does guarntee a rate up character after x amount of wishes.
What makes Genshin different is the amount of normies playing it. It's babby's first gacha, and it makes them seethe. The normal gachabrain player finds it quite normal.
What will kill the game is the shitty resin system and slow development cycle of the new areas. The whale money will stop when everyone quits this game for the next flavor of the month.

This is peak retardation. There is almost no way you can't get Klee if you play the game. The game gives you enough gems throughout the course of it's current content to easily hit pity cap for her, even if you dumped hard for Venti. Instead, retarded wanted instant gratification and immediately threw money at the banner instead of tackling it over the course of it's lifetime.
Nevermind that even if you were the most lucklet being imaginable, you could get a guaranteed Klee from 0 gems for about $400

Everything you do costs resin basically, it regenerates slowly and whatever you want to do costs quite a bit.

I have Qiqi, Mona, and Klee as full F2P with no rerolling and pretty much all of them being from pity payout. Mona was a lucky pull on the main banner from all the orbs they gave out at launch and during the free portion of the battle pass. Qiqi and Klee were both pity from rolling on the limited banners.

To collect rewards from bosses and dungeons you need resin, which regenerates over time, or you have to use special items.

I bought the monthly pass for $5 like a retard and then quit the game 2 days later when I realized what kind of "game" im playing
