Batteries aren't internal

>batteries aren't internal

What fucking year is it? How is Microsoft this behind the times?

yeah that's pretty sad lmao

>internal battery runs low
>have to be tethered to your console
>can degrade over time

>removable batteries run low
>switch them out and continue playing normally
internal batteries are anti-consumer

>playstation controller battery eventually dies, several years later when it's hard to get one
vs
>I can go to Walmart and buy new AA batteries

What will you do after your PS5 controller dies after a few years? Go online and pay $70 (plus tip) for a new one? What happens in 10 years when they're all dead and you need to replace it again?

>PAYING MICROSOFT FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE BOG STANDARD

That is some low fucking standards you have, son.

The realistic use case is that you actually spend more on the batteries over the long run

But then again intelligent financial decisions and console purchases are an oxymoron to begin with.

Fucking retard it means you never have to charge it on a wire, longer battery life, no leaking batterys and no limit on charges unlike the ps5s internal.

Zoom zoom

this. Spend $30 on 4 rechargeable AA batteries and station and never worry about this ever again

Only a moron who doesn't use the xbox controller would want them to get rid of AA batteries.

For batteries tethered to the controller, don’t you have to dispose of them in a specific way too?

real men throw batteries in the trashcan under the sink

Here's a fiscally responsible alternative, dock your fucking controllers when you are done playing

CRAZY IDEA BRO

Huh? Those batteries don't look external.

If you want, you could just be a environmental chad and throw it away in the normal trash anyway.

i run a powered usb underneath my couch. all day and every night since 360 era. fuck batteries.

>The realistic use case is that you actually spend more on the batteries over the long run
Does nobody know what a rechargable battery pack is? I've been using the same one for my controllers for over a decade now.

What do you mean by "internal"?
You mean not replaceable?
Because your picture looks like they are inside the controller.

>buy recharchable long lasting recharable batteries for 10 dollars, can use them in any other device

This is a positive you dumb cunt.
Imagine your PS5 battery gets weak as shit and you cant even replace it lmao.

And that's a compromise you're willing to make that anyone can rationally understand is an inconvenience.

>rechargable
>long lasting
>cheap

Pick two. I appreciate the try though.

Sony wins again baybe

fucking retard

Odd, never had this issue with any controller from any console.

Welp, guess it might happen for this one!

God bless America.

who /eneloop/ here

>an inconvenience
It's an inconvenience to drop some batteries in the charger when you're done with your vidya and putting away your stuff?
How lazy are you?

do we really need to have the same fucking thread verbatim on this non issue every fucking six hours

Any recs for an xbone battery? iirc the first party one was pretty overpriced and unimpressive

>dock your controllers and the batteries become magically new again

Fucking underage brainlets up in here

What's wrong with using some rechargeable double AAs?

Most people forget. Also toshiba eneloops last way longer than sonys internal battery. Your
ps5 battery will only have 500 charges max.

just buy eneloop rechargeable AA batteries

>Use Eneloop Pros
>Have 100 hour battery life
This is why it's better, batteries are expensive and Sony isn't willing to put $15 worth of the best batteries in their controllers.

Are you from the 70s? Rechargeabe batteries last a long time now and you can just keep alternating them when one set need recharged.
Go ahead and keep buying new PS controllers when the battery dies in them though, you do you.

There is absolutely no reason why manufacturers can't make devices that use standard-size NiMH rechargeables that charge when the device is plugged in. It's not an either-or choice. People that want the option to replace the batteries can do so and people that don't want to think about batteries don't have to.
It's already been done with computer mice like the Logitech G700.

Lasts for years and much longer than ps4s battery

>How lazy are you?

The kind of lazy that can understand placing a controller on a dock is less effort.

Are you trying to invalidate my argument by suggesting i'm lazy? Or do you really want to try and jump through hoops to justify an additional purchase for something you are already paying for?

I'm probably older than you ironically enough, your issue sounds like something someone would run into after 20 hour benders and no responsibilities. Funny how this is a concern for you and yet you call me underaged.

Internal controller batteries dying in an unreasonable amount is a boogeyman and you and I both know it, stop trying to justify this for yourself.

You and I both know it is extremely more likely the average console gamer is going to break the controller before this happens or replace it due to hardware failing.

>My xbox controller lasts 30 days while my Dualshock 4 only lasts 2 days max

This thread has to have been made by a falseflagging Microbot. There's no way some snoy faggot actually thought this was a negative.

how big is the difference between the pro and the normal version?

This has never happened with any chargeable console controller of mine. What fucking loser is out there playing vidya for so long that his controller batteries become useless lmao

>compromise
but you just drop in 2 charged AAs from your charger, then drop your other 2 depleted AAs into the charger
bro?

also the black eneloops I have last several days of 4+ hour gayman with an xbone controller on pc. been using them for a couple years now no problem, it's basically a non issue

I have a PS4 controller from launch that doesnt hold a charge for more than 2 days, it still works, i just have to keep it charged every single night and/or use it tethered which also isnt a big deal.

Rechargeable controllers really make removable batteries king but you can just plug in internal controllers overnight and they usually last forever. I prefer saving money with something so minor so I prefer internal batteries.

>batteries bad
>open your console and screw a ssd to your console mobo good
