Say it ain't so?

They're more fucked this time than ever before. Halo is going to last another 2 years after Infinites release then they will can the series.

hey, now you can let the devs design your hideous multiplayer color scheme instead of making your own

They fucked up so bad this time Microsoft actually noticed.

Source for the prices?

Seriously, just fire 343, and let id reboot the series between the rest of Eternal’s DLC and DOOM 6.

>fire 343
didn't MS put 343 together in the first place? they would just hire another team exactly like them

They're gonna give you a bunch of free ones so everyone thinks it's okay.
And desu considering Spartan customization is such a shallow part of the experience if it means a highly populated game due to the f2p then I'm all for it

no no, id have to reboot Duke Nukem first

Do I need to buy that stuff to win or does it make me a better player?

343i originally came from Microsoft and a handful of Bungie employees, yeah.

You're say Halo is fucked now? Now? What was it the past ten years then with 343i at the helm? Or are you underage that thinks H4 and 5 were good.

I was there. When Xbox Live was new. Halo 2. Everyone used their headset. No skins at all. It was beautiful.

>Source for the prices?
OP's ass lol

Give ID all the shooters.

Am I missing something? Halo Infinite is a free game, that monetizes skins that you don't have to pay for, and yet somehow I'm suppose to be mad about this?

Assuming this is even real which we have no source for.

Its better then the previous lootbox system that Halo 5 had and is akin to what Call of Duty has now which, is probably the least annoying micotransaction shit right now.

I don't mind some aesthetics being purchasable by real money as long a there is some mechanism by which you can also eventually unlock them without paying. Otherwise that's cancerous

Will this game be the biggest financial blunder in vidya history? $500m budget. I don't see them recouping anywhere near that

Is that a real number? That can't be real. Unless they're building a new engine that they're going to use for a bunch of other games.

They are building a new engine. The Slipspace engine, presumably its going be 343's in house engine for years to come and potentially other MS games

It's been in development for over 5 years with an extremely large team and the marketing has already been quite substantial with large provisions set aside for the final marketing push.

I'd say $500 million sounds about right.

>not being made that they removed the traditional color selection and replaced it with a pay model

So thats just a figure youre pulling out your ass based on your indepth knowledge of the games industry and the cost to make one.

Cookie company had to give a price for a contest. It doesnt mean it is through actual cost.

>$2

2 FUCKING DOLLARS FOR A FUCKING EMBLEM.

A

FUCKING

EMBLEM

>is that a real number?
no, it was memed into existence and caught on because it is very big and very even. probably not a cheap game though, in spite of all appearances

That makes sense. God people are fucking retarded.

Expect there to not be a Triforce emblem. ;(

Quite a lot of articles are out there speculating the cost at $500 million and Microsoft has a history of high expenditure such as Halo 2 ($217 million), Too Human and several Gears of War games. Halo Infinite has already had a lot of marketing and it's extremely expensive. I don't know why you think this wouldn't be a fairly reasonable figure.

Destiny 1 costed $500 mil and that shit was absolute trash so im worried

Based! Kino! Soul! Can't wait to dress up my power ranger!

not him, but when you google it google will certainly helpfully (mindlessly) suggest 500 million because that's how its snippets "work" but when you actually look at the results its all just reddit and some no names as far as I can see
