you really have to plan ahead in this game huh
You really have to plan ahead in this game huh
Not that much planning is needed but yeah it helps
I usually like to give each temple and their fairies its own cycle, reset then repeat until I'm at the side quest stuff
Just play the inverted song of time
somewhat, you get into the habit really quickly
you don't do side quests early to get the most use out of good items?
n64 version is far better
why?
Not really at least until around the time I need something say the gilded sword or Epona which I dedicate a cycle towards each and do things in between then like dog races, bunny hood, etc
In the original version you can't just skip ahead to a specific event but the micromanaging makes it less of an actual issue
the zora swimming in the 3ds version is horrible
Not really, the items and songs all act as checkpoints and you can start a new cycle as many times as you want. If you're challenging yourself to do as few cycles as possible then you definitely do.
hurr durr, the feature you use for a tenth of the game is improved, this means the game is bad
it was literality the most fun part of majora mask and the reason why majora was a bit better than OoT
now you can't swim like a dolphin without waste your magic meter
You swim a lot ironically for a game with less water in it than OoT
WEAR
THE
MASK
>the most fun part
seek help
it is only a means to an end
you only do pirates fortress & great bay temple, and then it is over
Pretty much yeah that's the point of a time loop game. You only have a limited time to get anything done so you have to think about what you're going to try and do each cycle.
Unless you're playing the babyfied 3DS version where you can just rewind time and shit.
Does it really have less water than OoT?
Great bay is a pretty fucking big part of the game.
You also swim in Stone Tower Temple and again on the moon
>what did he mean by this
small subsections that are hardly lengthy
the point is that the fast swim costing magic is a negligible issue
there is now a reason to get magic milk & the beaver race now has somewhat difficulty
>there is now a reason to get magic milk & the beaver race now has somewhat difficulty
I guess but I've always had difficulty with those things causing me to repeat them multiple times the removal of the original swimming function and merging it with the shield attack is just an unneeded hassle
come now.. dont get filtered
I didn't get filtered I'm just a retard with shitty reaction timing
Not really, maybe if you want to optimize your 3 day cycles. If you don't want to plan just don't do stupid shit:
- Never withdraw money from the bank, just grab the 200 rupee chest at east clock town or roll with Goron Link at Termina Field for arrows and bombs
- Never start a dungeon on second or third day, always start them on first day
- Follow the fucking coloured tubes and currents in Great Bay Temple, is not that hard to grasp
- Learn about the songs of double and slow time
- Git gud at the Goron race and by git gud I mean take the inner part of the big curve at the end, dunno why so many retards can't into figuring out obvious shorter paths
Said that, enjoy the game, MM is very enjoyable once you stop doing obvious retarded shit
the beaver race was only difficult because I didn't know you could invert Y-axis in Options
Just slow down time, pleb
Yeah
Welp
If only the game had a way to get infinite magic
Yeah
