It's not even really a bad redesign, it only changes/recontextualizes a few things.

Like even the hair is a decent extrapolation of the original's solid blob, and he even kept her eye color the same. About the only thing that seems like it was changed "just because" was the removal of her fox tail, no idea what logic went into that. The 3D modeler just fucked her up.

I personally like the Elora design in 2D but the outsourced model team botched it hard translating it to the actual game. TFB has both horrible modelers and people willing to abandon perfect designs in favor of being different in other cases.
