As far as we know he was just a liaison between ASW and the fan team. The patch is still going ahead. The fact that this info was put out by ASW unprompted almost leads me to believe they had an agreement where they would throw Mike Z under the bus just a little so they could keep him involved as long as possible while also distancing themselves.
