GTA V

Goatman

The Goatman appears to be a humanoid that stands upright, with hair covering its entire body, along with two horns protruding from the top of its head. Since there have been so few sightings, its behavior is unknown, as it has only been reported that the Goatman runs under the bridge towards the ocean after being spotted.

The Panic in the Woods phenomena can be considered as evidence towards the Goatman. The symptoms of Panic, such as deafening silence and paranoia, are connected to Goatman encounters in real life. The God Pan, for which Panic is named after, is a goat-like satyr just like the myth.

The existence of Goatman remains unknown based on conflict between file data and the sighting itself, however file data reveals that if Goatman was to appear in the alleged location, it would breach general ambient spawning methods, namely popgroups.ymt and scenarios.meta. A bicyclist of any kind may be seen cycling down the road towards the abandoned home between 07:00 and 15:00,[1] and a random station wagon may drive down the road between 15:00 and 22:00.[2] No pedestrians are able to spawn in this location, as the only existing path[3] is scripted for vehicles and pedestrians to strictly follow this path. The only scenario that occurs on the nearby hill is several rabbits gathering among the bushes northwest of the bridge.

Supercop

Supercop, also known as Ultracop, is a phenomenon in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, San Andreas, IV and V

The myth took off with internet forums, with numerous users sharing their experiences and encounters with an invincible group of police men. Certain disconcerting attributes of such cops, lead them to be named as Robocops, Supercops, or Ultracops. The phenomenon states that when a player has achieved an elevated wanted level, a particular cop or group of cops, will unexpectedly approach the player, out of nowhere. Though, the event is valid but certain players regard it as an in-game feature.

are mythbusters still a thing on gta games?

Green fog is a very rare occurrence that occurs around the countryside in Red and Flint counties, mainly in rivers and lakes. The fog is rumored to be a chemical residual of nearby chemical plants in the area and may a reference to water pollution. There are very few photos and videos that show this strange phenomenon occurring. A neon green fog can be observed during the mission First Base. A suicidal pedestrian can also be perceived in the fog, by the river.

In GTA San Andreas, green fog can always be seen if the player is using a resolution with a 16 bit color depth. This graphical setting reduces the total number of colors on the game's textures to improve performance, and as a side effect the blueish white color used for fog instead becomes a bright green color. This can be seen any time in game, but is most noticeable at night during foggy weather near the water.

Several green clouds can also be seen at night in GTA Vice City, although their purpose in the game is still unknown. They are often linked to the Bermuda Triangle and hurricane myth. The cloud may very well be the shadow of the sea color at night.

Ghost Cars are one of the most popular myths in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. It is also one of the first of the myths that have been proven to be real.

In the game, there is a variant of the Glendale car, called glenshit in the game's internal files. This vehicle differs from the normal Glendale because all of its body panels, bumpers, and doors are dented. Its damages cannot be repaired by visiting Pay 'n' Spray or by using cheats. These damaged cars are nicknamed "beaters".

Several of these beater Glendales spawn in the woods of Back O' Beyond. However, they spawn on the side of a steep hill, which makes them slide to the bottom of the hill as soon as they spawn, making it appear as if they are driving by themselves. This phenomenon can be witnessed at any time in the location in Back O' Beyond. It is unknown if this is a glitch, or if game developers implemented this on purpose. The exact location where these cars spawn is in Back O' Beyond, just south of two horseshoe-shaped rocks. One of the dented Glendales also spawns in the Angel Pine Junkyard.

Many fan-made videos show the cars whirring to life with their lights turning on and attempting to run down the player. While this happens, the car is immune to damage, and will not stop unless the player is killed, or the car is somehow damaged beyond driving. No evidence that supports these videos' validity has ever been found.

There is a glitch on some PS2 versions of the game, where the ghost car that "rolls" down the hill spawns incorrectly, right through a tree. If this occurs, the driving wheels can be witnessed spinning on the ground silently, while the car remains stuck.

The Abyss is a mythical location and the name given to the deepest part of the ocean in Grand Theft Auto V
In a Submarine, the player can travel to extremely deep ocean depths and find fish, Shipwrecks, Airplane Wrecks, underwater plants, and even a Sunken UFO. The Abyss encircles the entire map and is usually located a few miles offshore. The Abyss appears as a deep dark ocean trench without visible bottom. In a submarine the player can dive deep, but eventually once they reach a certain depth, the submarine will begin to alert the player that the water pressure is too high. If the one continues to go deeper, the submarine will experience a structural failure and it will implode from the water pressure, killing the player instantly. The Abyss has barely any physical characteristics. Other than that, it is very dark. It is so dark, it's even hard for the submarine's lights to cut through.

Players often report hearing strange noises while diving deep into The Abyss.

If the player uses any sort of hack or cheat to bypass the ocean depth limit, they will find that The Abyss is simply a large and completely black void. The player will still be able to swim around inside of it. If the player continues swimming downwards, the water will continue getting darker and darker, until the player encounters Blue Hell. After this, they will get teleported to the nearest pedestrian pathway on the mainland

The Rusty Wheelchair is located at the end of a dock in Fisher's Lagoon, Red County, San Andreas. It is an Easter egg, and it ties in with various myths in the game, including Leatherface.
At the end of the dock, there is an old rusty wheelchair, a reference to the horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Many myths in the game, including the Leatherface myth, centralize around this wheelchair. However, it may be an Easter egg.

Mysteriously, the wheelchair shares its texture with an old skip dumpster found in various places around the state. Because of this, it says "SKIP HIRE" in several places around the wheelchair. This texture duplication could be simply because the game developers did not want to make an entirely new texture for the wheelchair, and instead simply recycled a texture from the dumpster.

There also appears to be a different texture on the front wheels of the chair, showcasing text reading 12:30 PM or 2:30 PM. Several players have taken to assume that this may be a time of mythological significance. The texture on the wheel was taken from the sign at Blackfield Chapel. There is another texture on the left side of the wheelchair that appears to be a traffic light with the red light on, which, to the unsuspecting eye, may first appear to be blood. The "mystery of the chair" was never solved in the standard GTA game, and it is believed the chair doesn't carry any true importance.

Interestingly, the wheelchair makes metallic sounds if the player hits it. Most objects in the game do not make sounds when hitting them unless they are intended to be interacted with.

Back in the good old days before the internet ruined every hidden detail of games

Panic in the Woods is a strange phenomenon found in Grand Theft Auto V. It is based on the claim that, on rare occasions in the San Andreas woodlands, a high pitched buzzing noise will be playing loudly, similar to the medical disease tinnitus, and the player character's health will gradually decrease, until he returns to civilization.

As in real life, panic begins with a sudden, complete silence that soon turns into an annoying buzzing sound. After a few minutes have passed, the player character's health will begin to slowly decrease, and the player character may say some unusual dialogue. Upon reaching a town, or even coming across a road or an NPC, everything returns to normal. Panic may, in fact, be an audio glitch in defective consoles. However, this does not explain the draining health. Occasionally, panic coincides with the appearance of other cryptids. The cryptid known as Goatman is rumored to appear in the game, and if Panic applies to Goatman sightings in real life, they likely apply in game as well. Panic always happens at night, and no daytime sightings have ever been reported.

There are a few theories about the phenomenon, and possibly a solution.

The noise probably comes from a glitched audio file that is either corrupted, or was an unused ambiance around that is not supposed to play, as this would explain the silence that is usually reported to happen before the phenomenon.

The slowly decreasing health is a tricky one. It is most likely a glitch, which could be caused by either an unused file for a beta mechanic, or a corrupted health file.

Ninjas in Vice City

Ninjas are a false myth in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

Even though the myth is rated as fallacious, it's one of the earliest myths that dates back to 2002.

Soon after the release of the game, rumors circulated about the existence of spy ninjas. These rumors originated on the video game forum NeoSeeker.[1]

Players reported to have encountered Ninjas from classic movies at Ocean Bay Marina, specifically at the parking lot.

Players have further theorized that the lights, located at the end of the lot, are supposedly turning red upon the arrival of such ninjitsu sorcerers. However, certain demonstrations have revealed that these lights never go red and these claims are an outcome of fan fiction writers.

The Unknown Guy

The Unknown Guy, also known as the Unidentified Male and MALE01, is a strange pedestrian in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The Unknown Guy is one of the strangest and most commonly overlooked pedestrians in San Andreas. He is a medium-height African-American male dressed in slacks, sneakers, and a hooded denim jacket with a grooved haircut.

Unknown Guy is very rarely seen as a walking pedestrian on the streets, known only to appear on-foot when the carjacker pedestrian has hijacked him or when CJ himself hijacks his vehicle.

Unknown Guy is also the one and only train driver in all of San Andreas, appearing at all train stations across the state. When hijacked from a train, the Unknown Guy does not react to threats, similar to Mr. Trenchcoat. Even when fired upon, no action can elicit a response. He can also be found driving harvesters in the countryside.

Unknown Guy also has a strange model name in the game's files, MALE01.[1] Typically, a pedestrian's model name will include information detailing where they are supposed to spawn, for example, CWMYHB1 stands for Country-White-Male-Young-HillBilly-1. Strangely the Unknown Guy's model name gives no indication of where he is supposed to spawn.

Bigfoot is widely credited as kick starting the discussion of myths in the GTA series. Before the Bigfoot myth emerged, the only side topics in GTA games were about Easter eggs or beta material that had been removed from the game. When GTA San Andreas was first released in 2004, the Hot Coffee Mod stirred huge controversy and was hastily removed and the game was relaunched. In the midst of the confusion and chaos Hot Coffee created, internet forums and gamers were abuzz with rumors of a creature that inhabits the dark gloomy forests of the San Andreas countryside. Almost immediately the existence of Bigfoot in GTA San Andreas became huge news and to an extent overshadowed the game itself. In the weeks following the re-released game, gamers went into the woods searching for the illusive creature. Videos and screenshots that claim to depict the legendary Bigfoot saturated the web. Modders took notice and began to cash in on the hype, offering up Bigfoot mods for gamers to use to fool their friends. Full fledged hoaxing became a problem compounded by the notion that Bigfoot might have been removed in the relaunched edition of GTA San Andreas when the Hot Coffee Mod and other game files were dumped. This only intensified search efforts that seeked to discover the truth once and for all. Years passed, and still, no one was able to definitively say whether Bigfoot was ever in the game. The Bigfoot myth established a certain allure to GTA San Andreas that gave the impression that there was more beneath the surface than just the storyline.

More like Goatmen.

I will be lurking this thread, keep posting the myths, OP.

In GTA III, the sound of a train can be heard in Shoreside Vale. The strange thing about this is that there are trains only in Portland and Staunton Island, not Shoreside Vale. These sounds may be audio files accidentally placed in the wrong place, or sounds heard incorrectly by the player.

GTA V has a lot of weird shit. Like how each character has a different sun

>no fun
dont reply to me I win
if you reply you are automatically dead and cannot reply

In GTA:SA, in the Prickle Pine Safehouse, climbing up the stairs at a relatively slow pace results in audible breathing emanating from CJ. Some believe that there is another person in the safehouse with the player at these moments, and some reports claim that it comes from a ghost. These claims, however, are false, as the breathing comes from CJ due to the staircase being a stealth location.

The breathing is caused by CJ entering stealth mode, as the staircase in the safehouse is made to be a stealth area. Occasionally, there will be breathing without CJ being in the stealth area, which is theorized to be the sounds of someone who was killed at the safehouse, whose ghost still resides there. Some people even say they have been attacked by ghosts. As that theory seems too much made-up to be a myth, the non-stealth breathing could also be considered a glitch to skeptics.

>Like how each character has a different sun
Wow, i need details please, hear this for the first time.

GTA V strange howling.

The strange howling can be heard around Mount Chiliad and possibly around Blaine County. A video of the mystery shows a strange, periodically changing howling at the Mount Chiliad Tunnel, near the entrance of the Paleto Forest. If the player searches for the place the howling is heard from, nothing particularly interesting will be found.

It is unknown what creature makes this sound, since there are no wolves currently in the game (apart from Hunt The Beast an online game-mode.) Sometimes it is possible to hear another type of howling, but it sounds familiar as a dog yapping and players can hear it all over the Blaine County.

The Suicidal Photographer (1/2)

The Suicidal Photographer is a proven myth in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The myth was found shortly after the game's release and is one of the oldest myths in GTA San Andreas.

The Suicidal Photographer is a pedestrian who spawns on the coastline of the Flint County Scenic Route that runs from the Flint Intersection through Back O' Beyond. They can be seen taking photos of the view across the Los Santos Inlet to Rodeo, Los Santos, before walking forwards and falling into the inlet itself, dying upon contact with the water, as all pedestrians do.

The pedestrian is unique in that a range of pedestrian models from across San Andreas has a small chance of spawning. Pedestrians from Los Santos and the San Fierro countryside can be found as the photographer, but mostly they will spawn as one of the desert pedestrians, such as Mr. Trenchcoat. This is because to spawn the photographer, the player must approach the Los Santos Inlet from the Flint Intersection. In the game's files, the Flint Intersection's ped group is actually "POPCYCLE_GROUP_DESERT_FOLK" instead of "POPCYCLE_GROUP_FARMERS," causing the photographer to appear as desert pedestrian thanks to the spillover from approaching the inlet.

The first animation that Suicidal Photographers can play.

The second animation they play, when crouching down.

The photographer has a set of different behaviors. They have several animations, including taking a photograph while standing up, squatting on the ground and staying still, and taking a photo while kneeling. The most common occurrence is for the photographer to take a single image standing up before walking into the ocean, but it is not uncommon for the pedestrian to take several photographs in a row and even change their animation while doing so. Rarely, the pedestrian will spawn and immediately walk into the ocean without taking any photographs.

Attached: Suicidal_Photographer.png (1058x705, 687.49K)

(2/2)

The Suicidal Photographer will spawn at any time of the day and during all types of weather.

Explanation
It is widely believed that the pedestrian's strange behavior is the result of a path glitch. It is possible that the developers forgot to add a path for the pedestrian to follow after it carries out its commands, so the pedestrian reverts to the nearest pedestrian path, which is located in Los Santos. When pedestrians in the game aren't on a defined path, they walk in a straight line until they find one. If the player uses a map editor to place a pathway to Los Santos and allows the photographer to cross, they will walk in a straight line until they reach a sidewalk in the Rodeo district, where they will act like any other normal pedestrian.[1]

It has also been surmised that there was originally going to be a footbridge over the inlet in the beta version of the game, but it was removed during the later stages of the game's development, and game developers forgot to change the pedestrian's code so they became suicidal.

Another theory suggests the surrounding land once had an extended plateau that stretched out into the inlet, but the developers cut the land back to almost the edge of the road in late stages of the game to form a more natural entry to the channel that feeds Flint Water, but forgot to update pedestrian paths or occlusion zones.

The Hidden Treasure Theory is a possible myth in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

The hidden treasure theory is formed on the basis of several architect models kept in the glass aquarium at Tommy's Ocean View Apartment. The models include the Ocean Beach Lighthouse, a treasure chest, and the Chartered Libertine Lines shipwreck propeller. It is a feasible code left by the developer, that a treasure chest lies in the middle of the Ocean Beach Lighthouse and the shipwreck propeller. Several investigations demonstrated that the propeller is indeed a fragment of the Chartered Libertine Lines wreck. Although the treasure remains concealed in the wreck. Players have theorized that the treasure chest could be an indication to the Ocean View Hotel since they're both in the middle of the lighthouse and the propeller.

One of the oldest theories about the aquarium is that the terrarium in Tommy's Ocean View apartment contains basic versions of a rock arch and a lighthouse which symbolize the ones behind the NW Portland mansion of Mafia leader Salvatore Leone (Frank Vincent) in "GTA III." The open chest in it seems to refer to the open chest that Claude, the lead character of "GTA III," finds at Donald Love's place as he realizes that Donald Love has disappeared. A poster of Claude is on the Ocean View wall.

Debunking
During an internal file search, players viewed the model of the shipwreck and concluded that it was entirely hollow and no such treasure was concealed in the wreck, but the myth still remains possible.

Deadly Drivers are NPC drivers throughout the Grand Theft Auto franchise that drive very fast and carelessly, often crashing into buildings, pedestrians, or other vehicles, sometimes resulting in injury, or even death of the player.

These drivers are similar to the ones in GTA San Andreas. Even though they are much rarer, they are just as dangerous. They frequently crash into other vehicles and drive, as if they are oblivious to other cars or pedestrians. These deadly drivers may also run over the player, and trap him under their car involuntarily. When the player gets into a taxi and asks the driver to hurry, the player can witness him running over civilians, hitting other cars, crashing and sometimes even breaking the car to the point of an explosion. It is unknown what causes this happening, but it could be that Rockstar programmed this to make the game look more realistic, but it also could be a simple glitch.

Gian Spiders in Vice City

The idea of Giant Spiders in the game originated from a forum post made in 2016, based around the Funeraria Romero Cemetery.

There is little evidence related to Giant Spiders, except for a window in House No. 252. The texture appears to be a window, or a small nook and cranny, with a strange white blob peering out. There are many interpretations of what this blob actually is, but in reference to the Giant Spiders myth, there are two possibilities; one is that the large white blob is the spider itself, considering it's massive size related to the encounter in Milan, and the other possibility put forward is that the white blob is actually the web of the spider. If one looks closely, they can see that there is a black mass located in the center of the blob. This mass is solid black, and has 4 appendages, facing in each direction. Spiders have 8 legs, which would be hard to render at a small resolution, and depending on the species, 2 of the legs can face in each direction (take this tarantula as an example). Either way, the Giant Spider is one of the newest myths in the Grand Theft Auto series, and also one of the most cryptic.
