Why does Zig Forums dislike Battle Network? I get that it isn't a particularly greary series of games, but they were all really fun in their own way. We barely ever have threads on this series, and when we do it's people shitting on it plus a handful of fans.
Is it all just 30 year old boomers with a case of the notmuhs, or are there legitimate reasons to think they're bad games?
>Why does Zig Forums dislike Battle Network? Zig Forums loves Battle Network and there's threads all the time, but I understand that putting a false statement like that in the OP will attract more replies so I'll forgive you
Levi White
Love battle network, wish there were a more freeform title that let's you fuck around with the game mechanics. >make your own navi! >customize them! >etc etc Would be fun.
James Hernandez
>Why does Zig Forums dislike Battle Network? We don't. What the fuck are you smoking. We're critical of the FIRST game, because it had some severe flaws. But generally, Zig Forums appreciates the series.
>Is it all just 30 year old boomers with a case of the notmuhs Completely backwards. The reason no one talks about the series, is for the fact that you need to be late 20s/early 30s in order to have appreciated it when it came out. And the Zig Forums demographic is 15-25. So all the Battle Network fans are aged out of the site.

>there are people who legit like Battle Network How could it grow such a devoted fanbase, when it's so shallow for arpg standards? Is it really that Smash Bros. type of situation where the fanbase is completely isolated from other games of the same genre and don't even know the potential rpgs can have?
It's one of the only properties I actually wouldn't mind a gacha of.

>Zig Forums >dislike battle network You can fuck right on out of here faggot

here is my hot opinion for BN, my favorite series. Own and 100% completed every US game
3 = 2 > 6 > 4 > 5 > 1 > OSS
imo, I liked the plot and variance of 4 and would prefer to replay compared to the blandness of 5's plot and the stupid liberation missions There are plenty of threads discussing BN. vee does not collectively dislike or like anything
Ian Johnson
What made you dislike OSS so much?
Ayden Gomez
it's BN 1 on a DS cart with shitty crossover scenes. Could have been a proper game with new IP, but crapcom wouldn't put in any effort.
Isaac Walker
I would put OSS on the same tier as 5 but I agree they should have went with another saga or just sf4. The net timeline games could have been saved from the drought....
Jace Gutierrez
I love both this game and the star force series. Too bad were not getting anything like it anymore.
BN had an awesome battle mechanism and the themes of AI, internet of things, robotics, www, mobile device usage made it very interesting. SF was just muh alienz and friendship -- didn't do a lot to integrate interesting technological themes like BN. Imo, it's an inferior series
Cooper Jenkins
>are there legitimate reasons to think they're bad games? Not in general, but BN4 does have some interesting design flaws, the biggest being having to complete the main story 3 times to even get to the post-game.
Gavin Brooks
I personally liked the cheesy friendship plot and like Geo and his developement as a character.
Nicholas Hernandez
I thought dbl soul was universally hated?
Colton Sanchez
This, and the virus post new game 3 in undernet was a bitch to fight. The music was also bland except for this one: youtu.be/KWhDsR8gnY0
Oliver Morgan
it was okay but imo, the technical themes in BN were what made it such a cool series. Got me into technology as a kid.
Hunter Garcia
Such a kino theme for such a game....
