It's connected to weaker hardware is one problem, but another is that it has terrible resolution and archaic controllers and allegedly not the best tracking either.
I'd put money on even windows mixed reality headsets being better, but the psvr is more accessible so it's sold quite well despite all of its shortcomings.

I got a $250 Black Friday bundle a couple of years ago, didn't have a VR ready PC at the time. It was fun for what it was, but I've since built a good PC and have moved on to PC VR. The biggest drawbacks to the PSVR in my opinion were the Move controllers and the drifting tracking, I was constantly having to recenter.

Well, the timing sure didn't pan out on that one, not that I had much hope for this mode in the first place when the PS4 could barely hold 30fps during regular gameplay. I expect the VR mode to be severely nerfed in comparison with regards to pedestrian count.

none of the vr games benefit from ps5 hardware out of the box since everything is locked performance otherwise people throwing up.

All Sony had to do was create something as powerful or more powerful than the x and stop being lazy and cheap fucks with backwards compatibility and let us play ps1/2/3 games and they would have won.
