Simpsons Hit and Run already exists

make a remake of the simpsons arcade game but make it for mobile and make it gachashit, assuming "good" means "profitable".

A point and click adventure game starring in the vein as hit & run in that you play as the various characters.

There's an anecdote about the development of Hit & Run where the devs implemented the ability to beat up NPCs without approval, so when they demoed the game to Matt Groening, they were nervous he'd be upset, but in fact the first thing he did when given control was beat up Marge. Whatever game you make with the Simpsons should keep that in mind

What we need is a remake of this, where the overworld is actually just all of Springfield that we've seen in one map.

I'd assume there'd be a mod for that in Hit n' Run

I just assumed the engine was too old for that to work.

reboot Simpsons Hit and Run, this time it's 1 big map. Make it a really faithful, really accurate and detailed recreation of the entire town of Springfield. That would be so cool.

Making it 100% faithful would be impossible because of how much shit shifts around, but you could probably get close enough that it looks like what it does in a decent number of episodes.
