I actually don't get it. In the leadup to this launch Microsoft have been doing everything right (superior console specwise, more game reveals, full backwards compatibility, Bethesda acquisition, Gamepass etc.) and Sony have been doing everything wrong (censorship, woke games like TLOU2, terrible console design, weak hardware, caught lying about Demon Souls having ray tracing just today) and yet the majority of people are still going with the PS5. The only exceptions to this trend would be Halo Infinite looking very rough and Ghost of Tsushima being quite good, but neither of those things seem that significant.
Is it too difficult for people to leave the console they're on because it means giving up on the online ecosystem? How do they get people to get people to actually make the switch?
xbox one and kinect pretty much killed the brand. that's why they branched to PC.

I might switch to Xbox. Really depends if Doom, Elder Scrolls are gonna be exclusive. I'm honestly tired of Sony's SJW crap. Like I love Ghost of Tsushima, Killzone, God of War (not as much as 3 though) and Bloodborne. But Miles Morales, TLOU2 and their rampant censorship turn me off. I've been playing Halo MCC and Gears 1-3 again and I'm finding I'm liking them way more. Plus I think on the series x I can play my entire physical Xbox library on it. PS5...I can't play my PS1-3 gmaes on it unless I re buy remasters or subscribe to PS Now. I might jump ship to Xbox instead. Sucks cause I loved playstation. I'm just alos sick of every exclusive being another 60+ hour 3rd person open world game. Too formulaic.

It would not be easy for microsoft to revert a market where it had, for more than ten years, at most brief spasms of leadership. And these spasms, basically in America. The fact that it is a console with zero exclusives doesn't help either.

I think that the largest reason people are going for the PS5 is because they are riding off the success of the PS4. Not to mention that a lot of people have good gaming PCs that can play all of the multiplats even if they're not playing them on the highest settings and such, so they will most likely get a PS5 for the 3-4 exclusives in order to not "miss out" and the rest they can just get on PC.

I had a PS4 last gen but sold it for an Xbox. Sony had system sellers for me but they never rxpanded on them. Switching to Xbox was the best thing I did.
