November 2020
it's a bad souls game, but still a good game
>being retarded in 2020
go get some rona you imbecile
NOOOOOOO THIS ONE STAT THAT I KNOW I HAVE TO LEVEL AND I KNOW HOW IT WORKS COMPLETELY RUINS THE GAME
kill yourself puppet.
What's wrong with Dark Souls II?
It's better than Dark Souls III.
imagine dark souls 4 adds a stat called "skill"
in order do anything other than a single r1 non chain attack you have to raise your skill stat.
Raising your skill stat to lvl 20 will give you all the attacks you had in a previous dark souls game.
I have spelled out exactly what this stat is and what it does, and its the least fun thing i can think of adding.
This is ADP.
guys I put over 850 hours into vanilla ds2 on ps3 and never leveled adp. it's basically a crutch, odd recommend putting more levels into vit and equipping better armors and shields. default roll is good enough to roll through any attack anyways, as far as I know. then again, I'm one of those assholes who used to tank and fat roll in ds1 pvp, so maybe I'm just accustomed to crappy iframes...
dark souls is literally brainless 1 button combat, so your shitty example doesn't work
I bet you'd throw a shitfit if you played D&D and realized DEX was closely related to your armor class. Maybe RPGs aren't for you.
That’d be fine, many RPGs have done this before.
Have you tried a beat em up? Sounds more like you’re kinda game.
ADP is better than 3's spammable ninja flip of a fast role.
DS3 roll has way less iframes than DS2 does with high ADP
beyond wrong
The main game is a chore, but the dlcs are genuinely fun.
DS2 not only plays like chink shovelware, but they actually gimped existing systems from others souls games, it must have been sabotage, no other explanation. Playing the game is one thing, but actively defending the game on an anonymous image board is kind of tragic.
All Dark Souls games play like chink shovelware, user, that's why they're cool. Go back to playing Halo and Gran Turismo.
I played it during pre release fully blind going for a great sword build, didn't level ADP at all and it was fucking hell to play
>B-But 3
Every single time
It may be full of jank and look like a N64 game, but DSII is still the best Souls game
>NOOOOOOOOOOO YOU CAN'T ENJOY VIDEO GAMES
I beat the game at SL39K with only 8 ADP
>november 2020
>everyone pretends to like OP
I'd rather have ADP than have to deal with Dark Souls III's infinite rolling and anime bosses
I got excited thinking this thread was about dungeon siege 2 :(
>pretend
this is unironically a good idea.
You mean like endurance?
You dont need to raise ADP, you literally can just strafe/space yourself. Its an early dilemma: get cool weapon that requires stats andhave damage but not i-frames or get i-frames and run with shitty weapon for a bit.
Or just equip shield lmao.
TLDR: git gud.
>raising ADP
kek
The bosses in DS2 were worse than adaptability
>pretend
When will you stop being butthurt about what other people like or play?
>bad Souls, good game
That's 3 though.
DS2 still has the best fashion
No, it does not. 3 frames at higher investment HOWEVER ds3 roll has much less recovery frame making it much more i-frame saturated than ds2. High ADP is tons of souls just dumped in ADP, a useless stat past 105 ~agility.
Not to mention Ds3 has way more i-frames with quickstep than in any oter game.
It is also have a ring which increases i-frames on a roll and rolls require 0 investment.
>best fashion
>best build variety by a long shot
>best pvp no contest, and it's still the best even with one hand tied behind its back by the single worst mechanic in the history of the series
also zone variety.
I just dont like the unmemorable piss easy bosses and gank squads in sotfs
Hate this "gang squads" meme, aside from iron keep all encounters in ds2 are managable. If you go slow and smart you wont pull many enemies, as easy as that.
>how could someone possibly like something I don't?
beyond based
2 smelter demons and triple sentinels + that dark room with the doors in drangleic come to mind
Even then Scholar Keep isn't overwhelming, just very long. Knights attack you in pairs at most + there is usually a shooter who can't get you from behind a pillar. The problem isn't gank of a one horde, it's just many small fights ageinst rather annoying opponents
