I know that this one may seem strange but I actually really enjoyed the game "HAZE" on PS3. In hindsight, it was so bad, it was good and I spent a considerable amount of time on the multiplayer game modes.
I was only 12 or 13 when I used to play it, so what do I know?
Back in the height of the "ps3 has no games" meme. This game was shilled as the game that would put the Playstation 3 on the map and make all the 360 dudebros jump ship to Playstation 3.

>Better story than RE2make >Better combat >Better characters >Better boss fights >No pointless A/B >Playing as Carlos feels very different compared to Jill but Claire and Leon are nearly identical I don't give a shit about the fact that it's a bit shorter or there's no backtracking Fuck off
For me it'd be Fallout 3. It's not the best game or even a good fallout, but god damn, was it comfy to play and help give me a break from dealing with my BPD mother when I was a kid. >Varied monsters >Decent gunplay >Spooky atmosphere and interiors. >Fun side quests (Example: The Superhuman Gambit)
But game critics and normies praised that shit to infinity and beyond?

>But game critics and normies praised that shit to infinity and beyond? Yea but people with actual taste (Fallout fans and Zig Forums) rightfully tore it apart for shit writing (Could never explain what happened to vault 101 after dad left or get your mutant followers to go inside the water chamber) Just compare it to New Vegas. It has what, 18 months? And it's still leagues better than 3.
The FF13 trilogy has my favourite combat and worldbuilding of the entire series and the lands of Pulse felt truly jawdropping when I first played through it and the sequels expanded on that in every way. God tier music. Also Caius is top 3 villains of the series.
People seemed to hate it for the linear early game back when it came out. A lot even said that was the whole game because reviewers are lazy hacks who don't finish games before reviewing.
Resident Evil 6. Absolutely loved it. I know it`s not a horror game and it had a weak all-over-the-place story and those Call of Duty segments were dreadful, but it had >Great enemie variety. >Fun melee system. Especially for Jake >Tons of content >Gun fu for Leon and Helena >Great coop >Invasion system, where you could join someones game as a monster to hunt them down >Enemie counters >Tons of unique animations for every character and every enemie (counters, finishers, dodges, etc.) >Tons of weapons and ways to dispose of enemies It had such a great variety of good gameplay mechanics and since it`s release no other third pesrson shooter could replicate it for me. Honestly, if you give it a chance and try to learn this game, it puts to shame games like Gears of war, Last of us, Tomb Rider and many others. It`s a shame that it got shat on by critics and fans, because now we are never getting Resident evil as fun as this from Capcom. I don`t mind the new direction with RE 7 and Village, but there`s not much you can do in these games in terms of combat.
>don't forget that 3/4 of the game is cutscenes Kill yourself

Resident Evil 5 and 6 are some of the worst experiences I have had playing games. they stripped the BEST feature, the feature I love Resident Evil 4 for, the inventory system. The only reason I care about the Resident Evil series as a whole is the inventory system. With 5 and 6 they feel like action games and that made the game play itself feel like a huge slog. I just can't get into either of these games BECAUSE of their inventory systems, they threw away perfection and settled for retardation.

>Buy it on sale >"it can't be THAT bad" >Actually not that bad >Actually pretty fun
I loved it that when you were interrogating people (taking over businesses) and convinced them to join you, the game would go over into cutscene mode but not disable the button inputs from the interrogation part. So while your character and the victim were finishing their talk, you could keep pressing the buttons for and execute headbutts and whatnot.

>extremely shitty graphics >mazelike world-design >bland and generic characters >non-linear and open ended gameplay to a point where it's a complete mystery how to advance the story >time limit like Majora's Mask >unlike Majora's Mask, the time limit is pretty tight and you don't have an option to manipulate it >actually has a decent story >gameplay is as bland as the characters >tits >some great pieces of music >non existent difficulty >dungeons are worse than FF II
The game's objectively trash but I can't help it, I love it for whatever reason.
The game is bad, not terrible but really hated as until Hot Box Office took the role but I still love it nontheless. It could easly be transformed into an adventure game and a dialogue system rework but eeh.
