AMD 6800XT

I'm coming home, mommy AMD.

How will Nvidia ever recover? By promoting RTX that will only start being used in 3 years? I'll have moved on to another card by then. Rasterization performance is where it's at.

>turn on DLSS
>now 3060 is performing batter than 6800XT
oops.. hehe

>pyra and pneuma
>not pyra and mythra

>only works in like 5 games
cope

No budget card no buy.
>inb4 “1660S/5600XT”
Do they have ray-tracing?

>No dlss
>No rtx
useless

Come back when there are some games that don't run on a 3 year old midrange graphics card.

>Only works in some games
>Causes artifacts

While it's an interesting tech, if I wanted to play something other than in native, I'd buy a console. Besides I'm not sure devs will flock into yet another proprietary technology when AMD alongside Microsoft will offer an alternative, which will be used by consoles, and thus, adopted by devs.

Well, unless Nvidia changes its color scheme to Gold, Pneuma makes the most sense.

A 3060/Ti by Nvidia is in the works, and a 6700XT which will undoubtedly come will be a good alternative in the 400$ range. It's true the current offering is still too pricey. It could've been far worse if AMD didn't step up its game and shat the bed.

It’s the first day of November, could you be a little considerate for once?

Tbh I'm still unsure about DLSS as it sounds pretty much like black magic bullshit to me. In short, can I use dlss on let's say, modded skyrim with ENB?
Mythra is green enough. The gold part is pci-e connector.

Mythra is half assed Pneuma anyway.

except it does have hardware raytracing and DLSS like upscaling is purely a software feature that can be patched in later.

W-Where is her power plug connector?

>except it does have hardware raytracing and DLSS
it *would* have raytracing and DLSS in the future, which may be years.

No, skyrim isnt supported by dlss, its meme tech that is only supported by a few games that nvidiots shill because they are worried about the red tide incoming and all the money they wish they spent on out of stock gpu's

I just hope AMD won't fuck up the availability. Nvidia's paper launch is embarrassing. And don't forget, on ALD, buy Sapphire. Never Asus. Never.

That makes it easier then. I don't want to replace my psu anyway.

Bare a very few examples, I'm barely seeing any sizeable differences between RT On and RT Off. What I see is the -30% fps for absolutely nothing, that's for sure. Heck, the most impressive use of RT is fucking Minecraft. That's how useless it is right now. It's only useful for devs who don't have to spend too much times on rasterization tricks. The thing is, the tricks are so good, and the tricks are so well known and documented, that RT doesn't bring much for devs either.

>Rasterization performance is where it's at.
This. Raw power >>> proprietary meme tech.

Do we know if the founder's card will allow for 0 RPM mode in idle? I don't care about the noise in load, as I have my headset, but I certainly do care about idle noise.

dlss (and other, new, supersampling methods) work with motion vector data which, i believe has to be provided by the game engine. it's a bit like TAA in that it can gather information from multiple frames for reconstruction purposes. it does more than just TAA though which is why you see weird instances where some surfaces will show more detail on DLSS than they do natively (mostly you'll just get minor shimmering artefacting though).

people are shitting on DLSS but amd's got their own supersampling solution and facebook has a hardware agnostic one as well. like it or not, supersampling techniques are going to be the norm within 5 years and i suspect opinion will have shifted to 'i can't see the difference so why should i waste frames rendering natively'

raster rendering cost at higher resolutions is too high and raytracing cost is even higher - the latter is the unarguable future of real time visuals and the only way we get there in a reasonable time frame is by using all the shortcuts we can.

here is your latest dlss and rtx game, bro

stop being retarded. They've already shown hardware ray tracing on the new xbox using DXR. Works exactly the same on PC.

COme back when you have something good to offer in the $200 range that can compete with 1660/1660S/1660Ti.

All those years of technological development, and it still doesn’t look as good as Arkham Knight.

Who cares about xbox.

I don`t care with benchmark, fps anymore, i just want a decent stock supply fuck GPU market atm.

because xbox uses DirectX and DXR. Same as PC games that use ray tracing.

This is the hard truth.
