I absolutely HATED it.
I was tricked by Zig Forums into thinking that this was some magical "return to da roots" renaissance of Resident Evil. Instead, what I got was literally a hot-pot of ALL the worst zoomer-"horror" game tropes I'd been trying to avoid ever since Amnesia and Outlast dropped.
Linear, scripted, set-piece driven "cinematic" garbage, with zero replay value. Absolutely nothing to do with Biohazard.
Had I paid more than 27 bucks, I'd be massacring Crapcum's hacks like no tomorrow.
Honestly? 7 made the 6 look like a damn masterpiece. It at least kinda FEELS like the classic Mikami games' universe at best.
Co-op is very much recommended if possible.

RE7 is the best VR game I've ever played.
It blew me away. I know it's the meme thing to say but it really did feel like I was in the game.
I was constantly spooked and had mini panic attacks when Jack would run up into my face.
If you have VR RE7 is a must play.
