No one really liked the Xbox, people bought it for the exclusive Halo games and stuck with it for multiplats but it wasn't until the 360 that the brand took off and Xbox fanboys became a thing. I think it's because the lineup wasn't that great and memorable compared to the competition, shit even the Dreamcast is more popular despite only being around for a year before biting the dust.

Halo was good, but I agree with you. The problem is that most people just didn't care for anything else (In my case, my brother bought an Xbox only to play Halo and Forza) and it doesn't matter how good the other exclusives were nobody fucking played those or cared about them.
