>All PS5 and XSX games will be designed with the SSD speed in mind
>Meanwhile PC games still have to take into account the slow ass hard drive
PCfags are going to hold back gaming.
All PS5 and XSX games will be designed with the SSD speed in mind

well i'm using hdd and 970 so can't disagree with you. i'm quite literally holding gaming back with all my power
Yes they have games
Yeah, see how you like it for once.
>NOOOOOO i have to spend 150 euro on SSD
No it won't. PC games will just require a SSD. See Star Citizen.
>all PC games have to support Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8
This. How do people not understand how system requirements work?
We've been on SSDs since 2010 lmfao
Zig Forums is fucking retarded.
yea need to maximize customer space. that's why all the popular games run on 15 year old potatos
They really don't. Name one AAA title this year that runs on a 2005 PC.
Ive had SSD in my build for 8 years.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2
ps5 ssd is better than anything else on the pc market supposedly
RIP
And yet PCs are still faster.
Sad!
who the fuck doesn't have games on SSD?
Somalis?
doesn't have to be recent to be popular
among us, minecraft and fortnite are unfortunately some of the most popular pc games and they run on everything
What the fuck are you talkin about nigga? Everyone not in potato pcs has at least an SSD or NVME in their setups.
You must be some console only fag until recently Im sure
your video game movies will not be affected by that, consoles are for exclusives, so thank you I will keep my sata ssd going until I saturate my PCIE 3.0 slot, like it or not this is what peak possibilities look like
If only there was some way I could load my game into some sort of Random Access Memory so that I didn't have to rely on SSD speed alone.
90% of the people which just posted in this thread have no idea about the different types of ssds on market and their speeds, they think an ssd is just an ssd
It's not anymore.
The latest high-end SSD from WD is compatible with the PS5 and the latest Radeon will include the same SSD acceleration tech as the Xbox Series X.
All this means is that it's a terrible time to upgrade your PC right now till we get some more details on how all this exactly works on Windows but the hardware itself already exists and is on store shelves soon if not immediately.
My shitty SATA SSD boots faster than the PS5

/g/ have an autistic crusade against SSD last time I was there
SSD has been the standard since 2017 on PC.
That radiator is upside down.
>10 years late console plebs discovered that ssds exist
Guess what, retards. Most pc games assume that you have ssd by default and have 5min load times on hdd. Anyway, come back when your discounted shitty half pc boxes would be able to run games at more than 30 fps.
they already did. just watch some r6s stream and you'll see how often people spam ''SSD'' in chat when someone has a tragically long load time
PC have more ram
checkmate
Google RTX IO and DirectStorage.
Retard
>PCfags are going to hold back gaming.
good thing no japanese developers cares about pc gayming
A lot of people still use HDDs because you can get something like 10TB for peanuts, dumb nigger.
And most PCs are, in fact, potatoes.
/g/ has an autistic crusade over anything not standard in the 1990s
remember when they cried about 4GB RAM being too much?
remember when they cried about 8GB RAM being too much?
remember when they cried about 16GB RAM being too much?
remember when they cried about LCDs replacing CRTs?
remember when they cried about PCIe replacing AGP?
What's retarded? Tubes should be lower than the pump.
minecraft was severely unoptimized for the longest time
>fastest ssd on consoles!
>paired with outdated hardware
How will pc ever cope
95% of SSD owners don't even know DRAMless SSD vs DRAM equipped SSD
You're partially right.
Only the new GPUs have the ability to pair with and use SSD magic.
Most people aren't going to have a next-gen GPU.
32GB is too much
Still waiting on confirmation from Sony about what ssd’s are compatible. WD said this meets specs so I guess we’ll have to see what Samsung puts out to compete. The WD is $229 1TB and $449 2TB so yeah these are going to raise some eyebrows until they come down in price. Many will see USB hdd’s bigger and cheaper and think it’s simply overpriced but that’s the nature of new tech.
