see If your morale hits 0 it is game over. So if you want to play as a nationalist you either have to spend money on items that heal morale or abstain from picking nationalist dialogue when you are a nationalist, which is just absurd.

this is the piece that everryone complains about, but its actually tied into the narrative of the game. Revacholian nationalism is in decline, the one real proponent of it you meet is a decrepit old man who is clinging to the past. You take morale damage not because the devs think nationalism is le evil badguy, but because you making harry pine for a time that will never come again, and likely never truly existed
the alcohol buff is also one of the most powerful modifiers in the game since you will almost constantly be drunk
reminder that the 'pro-communist' narrative of this game is centered around another decrepit loser aching for a golden age that never existed. He's also depicted as an incel pervert retard.
Honestly, the game arguably shits on communism more than nationalism. The old revachol soldier is just shown to be sort of sad, the communist is actively insane
