Where did all arcade racing games go? Flatout, Need For Speed and etc?

BASICALLY zoomers don't care and autists want simulation.

Need for Speed Heat is actually pretty good. It's the first "spiritual successor to Undeground" that actually seemed worth a damn. Only problem is it's soundtrack isn't nearly as good and there's no way to add custom songs.

Need for Speed is being dragged around corpse style by people with shit taste in music who also don’t know what made the games good in the first place. Also zoomers aren’t into racing.

They exist but only from small teams and mainly on PC.

SO WHEN THE COPS COME ALL I HEAR IS
WOOP WOOP WOOP

I really liked the whole map control thing from Carbon. Though I found it kind of retarded that you'd have to control an entire region before challenging the boss, you'd think half would be enough.

never thought I'd say this but I miss the 2000s aesthetic
even miss fucking nu metal and the shitty pop music

just started another playthrough today of this big boi. thank God it started after a couple of fixes+patches, it saddens me to see gold games needing all kind of tricks to make them work.

we need a new uderground badly

Now I miss the later half of the 2000s with shitty emo music and myspace.

Isn't the story mode incredibly short?

i have it orginal on disks so patch 4.0+the skip intro video fix (screen was black with only the cursor on it)+ThirteenAG's fix (for wide screen and controller input dead zones) + dll fix for the custom binding that were always lost upon closing/restarting the game+ the no cd patch because all of the above won't work without it even with the OG disk inserted

>NFSU came out in 2003

NFSU and true crime for xmas 2003. That was a good xmas for games with excellent soundtracks.

I honestly think NFSU1 had better art direction than NFSU2. The various vistas are just so much more memorable, better looking, better shortcuts, better track flow and driving, better sense of speed.
