There's no compelling reason for anyone to jump platforms this time. Its not like PS2 to 360 or 360 to PS4 where people moved to the other platform because the other royally fucked something up. Nothing like that happened this time to cause that kind of shift in market share. Both consoles will share 95% of their libraries again and both will sell on the same multiplats again, PS5 will probably sell more based on brand, I see no reason why PS4 owners would want to jump to Xbox and vice versa.

Aside from Soulslike Sony releases single genre of games with classic "walk and listen to a dialogue" sequence. Microsoft has shootans, platformers, driving games, flight sims, strategies, xcom clones, survivals, whatever the fuck Sea of Thieves is.

Did you play the game? TLOU2 has better gameplay than every Gears of War, for example. And there are ton of contextual scene switchovers in it as well.
